Woodle Tree Adventures

So this game is really, really short (I beat it in like... an hour, maybe? Got everything too), but despite how short and how bare the story is, it's a cute little 3D platformer and it's really relaxing. The aesthetic reminds me of a Mario game, maybe mixed with a little bit of Kirby for cuteness.

Your task, being a newborn and all, given to you by your father (who looks an awful lot like a Deku Tree), is to find the Fairy's Tears to help bring water back to the lands. In each of the little levels, there are 3 tears to be found, and to be placed on little pedestals at the end of the level. Throughout your quest, you can find berries, and as you collect more, you can unlock little things for your little Woodle Tree, as well as unlock one of the levels (2 in the Deluxe version, which is the version I played on Switch). The items you can unlock are different-colored leaves, from yellow to orange to silver, which gives you a long-range attack to use on enemies so you can defeat them from afar. You can also get a red headband, but I couldn't tell you what it does.

As I said, it's a very short game, but the visuals are cute and they look nice, and the music is nice as well. If you're looking for a stress-free game to maybe kill an hour with, you can definitely give this game a try and pick it up. Even though it's short, I can say I had a really nice time with it.

Have a nice day!~
