New Poll for the Week

So it's really humid and I've been working on some trophy hunting, as well as finally getting things taken care of in terms of my driver's license, so forgive me if any upcoming posts are short/lackluster, as I just have a few things going on right now that are a bit more important, you know? That being said, time for a new poll.

I've been getting back into Sonic Adventure again, and after raising a Chao in one night in Sonic Adventure DX in order to obtain the final 5 Emblems related to Chao, it made me want to ask: Have you ever raised a Chao? Poll ends in a week, as per usual. Stay cool and I hope you all can beat the heat.

Have a nice day!~

Order Up!! Trophy Guide

Welcome to the first mini trophy guide! This time, the game is Order Up!!, a silly and quirky little game that's similar to Cooking Mama. The 14 trophies here aren't too difficult but they aren't a cakewalk either. Grab your cooking utensils and let's cook up some trophies!

Burger Face Learn how to cook a burger at Burger Face.
Story-related, can't be missed. This serves as your tutorial for the game, and you'll want to make note of everything you learn so you can have a nice grasp. Once you've mastered the tutorial, you're ready for the whole game and you'll be ready to tackle anything that comes your way.

Perfect 4 Perfect a table of four.
If you're relying on assistants to help you, don't for this one, just to be safe. In order to "perfect" a meal, every ingredient you prepare has to be done perfectly (it'll say Perfect next to the ingredient on the list of steps to do), and has to be done for a table of four, so it won't be until you start cashing in coins for upgrades and such. And to make it easier, get to the last ingredient on each person's meal, and try to work on them simultaneously. It may be tricky but you can easily get the hang of it, this game isn't hard to master.

Paperboy Score a 92 of better on the paperboy mini-game.
Each morning, before entering a restaurant, you can do a few things outside, like buy upgrades and such. One thing you'll notice is a paperboy driving by at the beginning. Click on him to start the mini-game. Newspapers will flutter down from the top of your screen and you have to click on them to "catch" them. This mini-game is simple and easy, and scoring a 92 isn't as hard as you may think on the first glance. Plus, a nice score gives you a decent amount of coins, as well.

Pepper Chop Master Master the Pepper Chop.
Early on, you visit the Black Market to be able to purchase spices to really enhance your food. You also learn the Pepper Chop, which becomes a mini-game for you to try and win coins with. All you have to do is chop all 10 peppers that get tossed. Sounds easy but your timing has to be very well and your motions have to be pretty precise. I won't lie, this took me quite a bit to do, and this is with a controller and analog sticks, mind you. But if you slice all 10, you get this trophy. Note that you can only attempt Pepper Chop once every day before entering your restaurant.

Patron Pleaser Please all 10 unique patrons.
This flavor text is just a little bit.. lacking, as it doesn't directly tell you how you're supposed to please them. Every patron has something specific they like in their food, which you learn from their comments at the end of each day. For example, one patron, Russel Sprouts, is a vegan, so you have to use "Vegify!" in his meal to "please" him. Pleasing a patron nets you extra coins, which do add up after a while. After pleasing all of them, you're good to go. Note that they won't all appear in the same restaurant, so you can't just go to Gravy Chug and see them all.

Ned Special Purchase a special ingredient from the delivery truck and use it in each of your restaurants.
Each day you can call Ned at the payphone in order to have him come around. Spending coins to spin the fruit machine gives you a decent chance to win a special ingredient to use in your kitchen for the day. You'll know you used it properly when you serve someone and "Ingredient Bonus!" appears over their head. Simply get this bonus once in each restaurant for this trophy.

Food Critic Perfect the Food Critic at all five restaurants.
Impossible to miss as you have to Perfect him in each restaurant in order to get the 5th star for each place you work at. Just keep a steady hand and do your best, show him that you're the best chef around!

All Assistants Hire and use all assistant chefs.
Each assistant chef has a special talent that they can do. As you play through the game, you can hire more of them. After hiring all of them once, and letting them work on something at least once in a day, you'll have this trophy. Make sure to record your progress somewhere so you don't lose track of who you have and haven't used!

Mini-game Master Beat all 5 in-kitchen mini-games.
At random times, you'll have to play a kitchen mini-game. The one you'll be most familiar with is cleaning dishes to please the Health Inspector to make sure your restaurant isn't shut down for any health violations. Tossing a lot of ingredients out can make rats appear, which is another one, as well as your assistant chefs sleeping on the job, and letting an ingredient catch on fire. However, if you're quick to sharpen your knife, you won't be able to play the knife-sharpening game! So make sure you let that mini-game appear before you accidentally lock yourself out of the trophy!

All Chef Spices Purchase and use all Chef Spices appropriately.
By appropriately, they mean to please a customer if they ask for it. So, for example, if they're asking for Black Pepper on their meal, definitely put it there. Always make sure you have at least 3-5, if not more, if each spice, if you can afford it, just to be on the safe side. For an easier time tracking this progress, compile a list of each spice, and remove it from the list when you use it properly, so you can gauge your progress that way. Considering everything you have to do towards Coin Goal, this is almost impossible to miss if you're trying to get the most coins per day.

Coin Goal Earn 100,000 coins.
Oh boy, the most ridiculous trophy in the whole game. Now, I want you to note that this is NOT all at once. This is just in general. When this trophy popped for me, I had somewhere between 75,000 and like.. maybe 82,000 coins on-hand, so I can tell you it's not 100k all at once. Now, this will be a very boring and time-consuming trophy, and while you work for this one, you can nab every single other trophy you don't have. Fastest way to get money? Go to the final restaurant, Perfect every dish, and use your spices appropriately, and be sure to please every patron. While that seems like a lot, it does quickly turn into second-nature when you get the rhythm going. You earn approximately 2,500 coins on any day, give or take, by doing everything perfectly and with small bonuses. If you want to reduce the stress from doing this, have music or your favorite YouTuber in the background, because once you memorize every patron's wishes for their dishes (hey, nice rhyme) you'll be set. Also, try not to grind constantly for money each real life day you play. Try to get anywhere between 10,000-20,000 each real life day, then stop for the next day. Or just play as you wish. Either way, good luck, as this is a trial of your patience.

All Recipes Unlock all recipes.
You have to buy recipes to earn a star for your restaurant so this won't be extremely out of the way. Please note that the "Special" recipes, which come after you get every normal recipe, are NOT necessary for this trophy! So don't waste those hard-earned coins if you've got all of the basic recipes.

All Restaurants Five-Star all five restaurants.
Story-related, can't be missed. You have to Four-Star your restaurants to make the Food Critic appear, anyway, as perfecting his dish will grant you the 5th star for the restaurant. After you make him a perfect dish in every restaurant, you get this trophy.

Fortified Chef Win the Fortified Chef Battle.
Story-related, can't be missed. Don't let the title fool you, this isn't as hard as it sounds. Your opponent will always have "Good" or "Average" rating on their dishes. If you're good at getting "Perfect" on your dishes, then you have absolutely nothing to fear from this task. Go get 'em!

And that's it for the trophy guide on Order Up!! As I said before, this is a mini guide, as there's no platinum and only 14 trophies, but you can still go for 100% if you'd like more trophies to add on your list. This game was boring after ALL of the grinding for the 100,000 coin goal, but otherwise it's a fun, silly little game and I did enjoy it when I played it. I just didn't like grinding for the final trophy, but ah well. I hope you liked it and I hope it helps you towards 100%! I'll see you again soon!

*This game took me a total of 1 year and 6 months to complete, with a hiatus in-between playing the game once and then picking it up again, from the beginning, to 100% it. My first trophy was "Burger Face" which was achieved on June 2nd, 2014 at 2:15 AM. My final trophy was "Coin Goal" which was achieved on December 7th, 2015 at 9:35 PM. This is the first non-platinum game that I have reached 100% in, without counting the quick trophies within Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, as all you have to do is play the cutscenes and quickly skim through pages, so I don't count that as putting effort into getting 100%*

Have a nice day!~

Order Up!!

So, this is the first game that I played to 100% completion that didn't have a platinum (I would have said Costume Quest but since I didn't have the DLC trophies, it's TECHNICALLY not 100% complete, ya know?). Now, I think this was a cheap buy on PSN, and on the outside it looked identical to Cooking Mama, which I did enjoy playing with my sister when we rented and owned it, so I decided to give it a try.

Now, of course this game is sort of meant to be used with the PlayStation Move, but of course you can just use the controller, which I did. I did everything, 100%, with the controller. Just buttons and sticks, and that's fine by me. The game is easy once you get the grasp of everything, learn how to properly multitask while you cook food, etc.

As you'd expect, a simple way to prepare a lot of people at a table without cold food is to get everything but the last step taken care of, then rapid-fire all of them, or if they all use different tools, do 'em all at once, almost. It's tricky but worth it for the extra coins, especially for.. one of the trophies on the list... *shudders*

But all that aside, it's a fun little game, and tomorrow this game will be the subject of my first mini trophy guide. I'll see you then!

Have a nice day!~

Coming Soon!

So, another very short post today but I wanted to say that this Thursday, for the trophy guide, it's going to be a "Mini" Trophy Guide. What I mean by that is that it's a game that does not have a platinum, but if you're still wanting to add trophies to your collection, or you want another nice-looking 100% sitting on your game list, it'll be helpful to you. And we'll start with the first game that I got a 100% on that didn't have a platinum trophy. What game is it? Well, you'll find out tomorrow when I talk about it. I'll see ya then!

Have a nice day!~

Welcome to the World!

So short post today, but I just wanted to congratulate my sister on the successful arrival of her new baby boy! I am now the proud uncle of a silly and sassy niece (who turns 3 next month) and a nephew that I hope is just as silly as my niece. He was born sometime after 10 this morning, and I'm very happy that he's healthy and well. So again, congrats to my sister on her 2nd baby, and I hope he grows up nice and healthy and happy!

Have a nice day!~

More Fakemon Fanart!

So, seeing as I worked super hard on this drawing last night and this afternoon, I felt it appropriate to show off a bit, since I'm honestly very proud of this piece of art! But first, let me recap:

So, as I'm sure all of you remember, I've done a few shoutouts for one of my friends who's been dabbling in Fakemon stuff for 6 months now, and she's only been getting better. Her art style has stayed the same, but her coloring and technique have gotten better. She's been revamping all of the designs for her Britannia Region, to show off better colors and just have an overall better look.

For today's piece of art, I'm showing you something that I wanted to make for her, featuring the Governor (The Gym Leaders/Kahunas of her region) based on her, Aalis, the Fairy-type Governor, and I even attempted shading and making it as accurate to the Sun and Moon battle into as I possibly could, with some minor mistakes, naturally. Take a look:

As you can see, I was attempting to draw Aalis based on the Sun and Moon style, right down to the text box and Poké Ball indicator. Of course, I has to compromise due to how Pokémon Art Academy works. I wasn't about to take the picture, go to Paint, and add the text. I wanted it to be.. well I don't know the proper word besides authentic, but I felt that if I didn't write it myself, I'd be disappointed in myself. Because the Outline layer and the other layer are all I have, I had to fix the text so that it wasn't going into the outline and therefore becoming, well, unreadable. If anything, I should have drawn the lower section with just marker so that it would fade more with the opacity of the text box, but ah well, no big deal. The background needs more yellow, but that can be excused. I'm not the best with shading, but I did my best to shade it as nice as I could. Overall, I think I did a nice job on the picture, and I really think I outdid myself.

As usual, if you'd like to check her out and see her Fakemon, or even offer suggestions to her, or anything else having to do with Fakemon, you can check out her deviantArt in the link provided just below. I'll see you all again soon!

Is Blogger Having an Issue?

So real short post today, because Blogger has been acting up for some reason. It won't allow me to view my posts (unless I actually go to my blog itself). I guess the site is just having a few issues but I'm sure they'll be resolved sooner or later. Anyways, I just wanted to say I've been in a huge RPG mood after so much Miitopia, and my Pokémon kick is finally ending, so I think really soon I'm going to replay the Phantasy Star saga on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. And hopefully this time I'll actually beat Phantasy Star 2. As for PS3, I'll pick a new set of generations so that the path I go through is different in some capacity. Hopefully in 1 and 4, I have a few different experiences, but we'll see when I play them. So until then, see ya!

Have a nice day!~

Happy Birthday, Sonic!

Man, Sonic's 26th anniversary is today. I can't believe he's 26 already, and if you think that's old, he's 10 years younger than good ol' Mario. Man, time sure flies. I still remember that my first Sonic game I ever played was Sonic 3D Blast, back on the good ol' Sega Genesis (which I still own and it still works!) and it was just a lot of fun to play, especially back then where 3D games weren't too common, especially not with an attempt at a 3D isometric style.

He's got a good 26th year, I'd say, especially with Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces both looking super promising and exciting, so I certainly can't wait to pick those games up in the future and have fun playing them both. Maybe today I should put in a Sonic game and have some fun. Maybe I'll pop in "Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection" and replay some older Sonic games, you know?

But either way, happy birthday Sonic, here's to more years of fun games, fun memories, and being way past cool!

Have a nice day!~

So, as you can tell, that's quite a lot for everyone, which means a LOT of money has been spent to buy these items. Now I'm sure you all have figured out the best way to grind money in the demo, but in case you're still wondering and are curious as to what's in each level and path, here:

Yep, this is indeed a crude map of the demo that I made, with every area on there. Green circles indicate treasure chests on the map. Yellow circles indicate the actual levels you go through. The silver circles indicate the spots that let you enter the underground area, and the red circles are simply events and Greenhorne Village. Each pathway you can choose (shown by ^ v < >) shows the amount of total gold you can get from those routes. As you can see, the one underground path that offers 288G is your best bet. And when you get stronger, you can get the Gold even faster. Also, after counting, you get roughly 1144G when you do every path once. However, if you do the 288G route 4 times, you can get 1152G per run, and in far less time than running through the whole map over and over. So, in roughly 5 minutes, give or take, you can get over 1000G if you speed up and you're lucky. This is very useful for collecting money fast. And even if you do something else while the game autobattles for you, you can still rack up the money. This also helps you boost character relationships and collect more Divine Power Gifts, if you so desire! Just note that after 2500 people rescued, the gifts end!

But that's the end of this post. I'm super hooked on this game and I truly can't wait for July 28th when the game finally comes out. See you again real soon!

Have a nice day!~

Summer's Here, New Poll

Sorry about yesterday, I was feeling really awful and I just needed to rest up and relax, to be honest. Anyways, today we have a new poll for the week, simply asking if you're looking forward to the 2nd half of the year. I'm kind of in the middle, but, even though it's a silly reason, I'm looking forward to being able to try out some of the new games coming out this year, and I hope I get a chance to play them and talk about them on this blog. So, as always, the poll ends in a week and I'll see you again soon.

Have a nice day!~

See You Tomorrow

I feel awful right now and I completely feel sick and shakey and I just.. need a day to rest, I'm sorry... See you all tomorrow.

Ever Oasis Demo

So, I was excited for this game ever since last year's E3, and after getting a bit more gameplay this year AND a demo, I'm even more excited. The demo, sadly, isn't all that long though. In fact I was able to tackle it and beat it within about 20 minutes. However it's a nice intro to what you can expect.

The demo has you simply fulfill a request for a visitor to your Oasis in hopes to have her live in your Oasis and set up shop. You traverse the desert to collect items from cacti to help her make juice to sell. You can fight some enemies outside the Oasis if you wish, with a simple fighting system, and the ability to change your character by pressing Up or Down on the D-Pad, allowing you to take on any enemy with someone else if they have an advantage (sort of like a weapon triangle, if you will) and it feels really simple and easy to do.

After, you're sent back out to collect another item from a monster inside of a dungeon. Inside, you have a party of 3, each with their own abilities and ways to help you solve puzzles. The dungeon is short and simple, and after completing the task, you're sent back to the Oasis to give the items and build the Juice Shop for the visitor after she joins. Finally, you level up your Oasis, and that's where the demo ends.

I know I paraphrased it a lot, but that's really what happens, in the long run. If you start up the demo again, it just repeats. I'm kind of upset that the demo is so short, but the again, the game comes out very soon, so if you like the demo you can always just play the full game soon. For what it's worth, I enjoyed the demo very much and I can't wait to play the full game eventually. Definitely give it a try if you're looking for a cute, but fun RPG.

Have a nice day!~

Happy Father's Day

So, as much as I have a love-hate relationship with my own father, mostly in the hate area, I still wished him a happy Father's Day. I hope you all wished your own dads a happy Father's Day, too. I won't be spending time with mine for reasons I'm not going to discuss on my blog, but still, I hope everyone has a nice day. If you don't have a father, or have lost yours, I'm very sorry to hear it :( All the same, though, I hope everyone has a great day, and I'll see you tomorrow for the Ever Oasis Demo.

Have a nice day!~

Miitopia Demo: Part 2

So, I finished the demo yesterday, some time after I posted yesterday's post. I've taken a few more snapshots since then, not too many. And I've also just been grinding since there's nothing else I can do. It's kind of pointless for me to be grinding so much if I don't plan to bring my demo data to the full game, but maybe I will, who knows? Anyways, let's get into the snapshots, but I will tell you this, I cannot wait to buy this game, I am so hooked on it!

I hope the light was nice, me, because you're certainly still here with us.

Out of the blue, I got my mage a random gift while I was looking in the inn rooms, and I got her some castanets, which she loved a lot. That's cool though!

Look man, I know that nobody cares about pennies at this point, but that's what heroes do, we turn up at every corner to smite evil, right?

One of my other best friends got the honor of being the Great Sage in the demo, even though he only appeared once in the demo.

Looks like we have an idol.

A sunset-like setting? Actually, yeah, that sounds pretty wonderful to me.

When I won some Arcade Tickets, I wanted to try out the arcade. I like the roulette more than RPS, but I wanted to try it. And on the first attempt, I won! Even though I was offered to double my 500G prize, I refused because I didn't want to lose it all!

Welp, we found Sans, and his face was on a rock, and it was a tough battle, but we pulled through and defeated the monster, saving Sans in the process!

I like how every so often, it gives you the option to quit playing, kind of when some games say you've played for a while and ask if you want to take a break. But it shows your Miis doing whatever in their room before you choose to play more or quit.

We were all hungry and Lazuli, my Pop Star, was pretending to eat food to trick their stomach into thinking they weren't hungry.

We found Emmy's face, but it's on a big mouse! And it looks so fluffy, I didn't want to have to defeat it, but we had no choice.

I just really found this funny, so I had to show it. I love just nonchalantly saying "Nailed it!" because I find it really funny. Guess my humor is weird.

And finally, we found Gran Sabia here as an Imp! It was a tough battle, but we managed to pull through and save the final face of Greenhorne!

Robin here was waiting for us at the castle gates, to inform us that this was the end of the demo, which made me sad as the action was really getting intense and I was ready for more. But that's okay, we'll have a lot more to look forward to in the full game next month.

Um, Lazuli, I don't think that's you.

My mage decided to get a silly makeover while we stayed at an inn, and she changed her hair color and style, which I think was really silly and cute.

Lazuli, that's not you either!

While grinding, I have been buying my party new equipment. Here, my mage has the Cross-Heart Robe and the Night Wand. Needless to say, she's destroying everything, especially with Explosion.

Another time I decided to give my mage a Cuddly Pony, and she loved that too. My mage and I have a relationship level of almost 30, so they're always helping each other out in battle.

Likewise, my pop star and thief are always hanging out, so my pop star got a Cuddly Bunny, which also fits.

I saw a friend post something like this and I find it silly. Meg gave my mage a gift and I guess Lazuli saw it all, since her and Meg have a big relationship level as well. I like how eerie that was, with a subtle scary theme playing in the background.

And finally, at another point, my mage changed her hair color and style again, this time rocking some blond hair.

And that's all for the Miitopia Demo. I love this game so much and I can't wait to finally own it next month! Thanks for reading and I'll see you again soon!

Have a nice day!~

Miitopia Demo

So, I haven't done an awful lot in this demo just yet but boy am I hooked on it already! It's so charming and silly, and I have a soft spot for RPGs so that's probably why. But to be honest, this game sort of feels like what I wanted Find Mii to become, a Mii RPG where you have full control and don't need StreetPass or Play Coins to make the game play. But I digress. I took a bunch of snapshots from the.. I want to say an hour, of gameplay that I did before I had to leave earlier. I won't post every single one, as there's no need to do so, but I want to give you a look at the silly fun that can happen.

For starters, you have a lot of Mii options. SpotPass is an option, your Mii Maker is an option, the characters in your Tomodachi Life are options, you can scan Mii QR codes from Miitomo, or you can even place Miis directly from your 3DS Friend List! It's really handy! And at the very beginning, it says that you can use SpotPass so that Mii NPCs in towns can be automatically generated based on peoples' choices around the world, and you can easily change it later if you wish. So, let's get looking at pictures and captions!

I don't know too much about Iron Man, to be honest, but I think he'd make a pretty nice Guide, especially with Tony Stark's personality.

I don't know who Gran Sabia is, or if it's just someone's friend, or what have you, but she looks like a nice granny.

Ironically enough, I could totally see Arin being a sassy child, he's already full of sass, but just the whole Grump face makes it even better.

Again, dunno who Deis is, but she's a Worried Mother alright.

I assume this is Pit, as in Kid Icarus Pit. And again, dunno who Emmy is, but she's being part of a Lovey-Dovey Couple with Pit. I feel like Pit should look more.. happy, though? He's not 100% serious, as far as I know of Pit.

This just fits so well, if you ask me. My limited knowledge on Undertale lets me know that Sans seems pretty sarcastic, so I think this works.

This Mii looks extremely familiar. I feel like Dinos was in SwimmingBird's Tomodachi Life videos, because I remember seeing a Dinosaur Mii in that series. He's a Dubious Mayor now, though.

It's my best friend in real life, Jake! But his nickname, Skulatore, fits so well with this that I just had to do it. I mean if you heard someone's title was "The Dark Lord, Skulatore," I think you'd be a bit intimidated, hopefully.

He's got some of the faces from the townsfolk, we've got to get those faces back!

I bravely shout those words, without a weapon or any gear, before he summons some monsters to make me scared.

I always loveth the use of random -eth and -th on words to make it soundeth more ancient and awesome and stuff.

Honestly, I could only ever be a Warrior. My RPG play style is too centered on going up-close and personal with enemies, which helps to also distract them from my allies, especially healers or magic users.

Let's defeat this slime and get our favorite Grump's face back!

I love how Arin's face actually looks perfect on this slime to make it look grumpy and ready to fight someone.

We saved Arin! Hooray!

There were two butterflies, so the otherworldly voice in my head sent me a companion, whom I made into a Mage to help me!

This friendship system will also affect how your party helps each other in battle, and will be very useful as you go on.

Wise words, me, but they're bound to come sooner or later.

We sure could use it after a few tough early-game encounters!

Ya know, I couldn't have said that better myself, because that's pretty accurate.

I love how we jump and skip into the gate that leads us to the inn, it's so silly.

In the inn, I fed my heroes since they were hungry. Food helps to raise the stats of your heroes, with a small bar to denote how close they are to gaining another stat increase. Each character likes/dislikes different foods, sort of like Tomodachi Life. My mage loved the Butterfly Honey we collected, so she jumped up happily and sparkled to show us how much she loved it!

I agree, on a hot day like today, and while wearing some armor, some cold water is definitely just the thing to really loosen up.

That's okay, me, we'll heal you right up at the inn.

After hitting level 2, my mage learned how to use Fire, a standard mage spell, but it'll come in handy and will do more damage than simply whacking enemies with the stick you have.

Why, yes it is.

There it is, on a butterfly boss!

Alice here is the person you go to if you have amiibo and wish to tap in your amiibo to unlock cool new costumes, such as Mario or Yoshi.

Am I? That's a great feeling to have, honestly. Let's keep it that way.

As your allies fight together and as they help each other and talk inside inns, their friendship level will grow, allowing them to help each other out even more!

At level 2 friendship, we can now Show Off, which lets us do a bit of additional damage to enemies as we try to impress our allies with our skills.

And that's all of my snapshots for the Miitopia demo so far. Definitely download it, it's a fun and silly RPG and it has a lot of charm. I love it and I'm absolutely going to continue playing it, probably all night long, or until the demo ends, but we'll see what happens after the demo, you know? The full game comes out on July 28th, and you can transfer all of your save data from the demo to the full game if you wish, so that's also awesome! See you again soon!

Have a nice day!~
