Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time

Let me just say that I was extremely excited when I heard that, after so long since Sly 3, they were making another Sly Cooper game. And everything about it was amazing, especially the updated art style, which makes the characters have a more.. anthro-like style to them. Another thing I like that they did was give the characters some real animation to them. As much as I like the charm of the choppy movements used in Sly 2 and 3, seeing real animations being used in Sly 4 was a lot more fun to look at. The lip-synching was better, the characters have better facial expressions, especially during the talks through the Binocucom, and it just feels all-around better.

I love exploring the hub areas of each episode, and I love how there's more to do. It adds a lot of things that I felt that Sly 2 really nailed, such as the clue bottles and safes (even if finding some of those bottles is a pain.), as well as treasures that you have to return to the Safe House within a time limit, as well as not being harmed while carrying it. Also, there are 60 Sly masks to find! The masks give you small cosmetic cheats, such as being able to put Sly, Murray, Bentley, and Carmelita in new costumes (only one for each), as well as new weapons, such as Sly's cane being replaced with the Omniwrench, which belongs to Ratchet from his titular Ratchet & Clank series. It's a fun collect-a-thon setup, even if it can be tedious and frustrating at times.

One cool thing I like is being able to play as Carmelita, and not have her usage being linked to just a few missions. She never has any jobs that she has to start, but once you have her in the gang you can play as her whenever you want to. She even has abilities that you can get in ThiefNet when you reach proper points in the game, which is awesome. The other cool thing is being able to play as Sly's ancestors in each Episode, each with their own unique abilities, besides being able to do everything that Sly can, such as spire jump, climb ropes, etc. It really makes for a fun experience.

That's really all I have to say on Sly 4. If you haven't played it, I HIGHLY suggest you download the demo in the PlayStation Store, as it'll be well-worth the time, and when I played the demo, it felt like playing any old Sly Cooper game. In other words,  I felt right at home while playing it. I hope you look forward to tomorrow's trophy guide on Sly 4, and I will see you again soon!

Have a nice day!~

Gloomy Weather Off Day

So, it's been really gloomy lately and I feel my motivation and inspiration dwindling a bit, so I'm going to take today to just rest and refresh my mind. In the meantime, I'll be working on Sly 4's trophy guide, as it goes up on the 1st, so I hope you're ready for the last Sly guide coming up. I'm sorry for the lack of a proper post today, though.

Have a nice day!~

Happy Memorial Day

I know that today is primarily an American holiday, but I just wanted to quickly say thank you to all of the brave men and women who fight and die to protect us and protect our country. For those who have died, I hope your souls find/have found peace in the afterlife and I hope you all can rest easy. And Pop-Pop, I hope you're still resting easy all these years later since you died in '91 (not in any sort of war, mind you, but he was in Pearl Harbor and Vietnam when battles happened there years ago.).

Have a nice day!~

Summer's Close, Have This Poll

So, now that an entire week of Pokémon stuff has gone by, today's just going to be a relaxing day for all of us. This week's new poll is asking you how you spend your summer vacation. This is more-so geared at people who are still going through school, but you can still answer if you remember what you did. For me, I used to wind up doing all of my summer work in August, even late August, as I wanted to relax more and I was a bigger procrastinator than I am today. Eventually, I flipped around and I tried to get it done asap so that I could have the maximum amount of relaxation without worrying about it. Voting ends in a week and I'll see you again soon.

Have a nice day!~

Favorite Pokemon: Alola

And at last, we're here in Alola, our most recent Pokémon region, for now. The region doesn't have that many more Pokémon than Kalos, and picking favorites is a bit tricky when I'm not including legendaries, Ultra Beasts, or Alolan Forms. However, I still have 18 Pokémon here and at the ready, so let's finish the favorites list off with my current favorite Pokémon region! Mind you, you probably know a lot of my opinions already if you've kept up with me and my constant blog posts involving CoroCoro leaks and my opinions on all of the new Pokémon as they were revealed and such, but still, some might have changed since the games released 6 months ago.

Now, I get that this is kind of cheating, since Silvally can be every type. However, since its primary type is Normal, without any of the Memory items being held, I'm classifying it as normal, so it works out, and I frankly like it way more than I like Yungoos/Gumshoos. Also, yes, there is only one in the whole game but I wouldn't classify it as a legendary, you know? But anyways, I wanted Silvally to be in my first team so badly, but when the game leaks were happening and I learned that Type: Null is postgame only, I was pretty upset. Komala ended up taking its place, and even though I love Komala a lot, you can't beat this chimera-like creature that looks absolutely amazing!

There's a reason why this spot belongs to Turtonator and not Incineroar, but Incineroar is way down on this list in the Dark section. This space would have belonged to an Oricorio form, but like I said, I had to really do some picking and looking at types. That being said, I wasn't too big on the design of Turtonator when it was first revealed. However, it did slowly grow on me, and I felt a bit of  a Heatmor vibe from it. Like it's a single stage Fire type that has a counterpart (Drampa, much like Durant is to Heatmor) and it does look pretty cool. Plus, it's a Fire/Dragon (somehow) and that just makes it more awesome. I have yet to use it, but I know I will in the near future.

This spot was originally going to go to Araquanid, but then I realized just how much I like Primarina a lot more than I like Araquanid, so that's why it's here. Out of all of the final starter evolutions, I loved Primarina and Decidueye the most, designwise. As for Incineroar, I'll explain down below when we reach it. To be 100% honest, if Incineroar was part Fighting and not part Dark, I would have picked Popplio instead. But anyways, I love Primarina, it's a beautiful final evolution to probably the most disliked Water starter since Oshawott back in the days of Black and White (Not sure why though). It's funny because I expected Popplio to become a Water/Fairy at some point after it learns Disarming Voice, as we saw in the E3 Demo. Now, sure, not every Fairy learns it, and some Pokémon learn it that aren't Fairy type (Such as Meowstic). But all in all, I love this beautiful Pokémon and it's definitely one of my favorite Water types, period.

I think Vikavolt is a pretty awesome final evolution for our regional caterpillar. Instead of being some sort of butterfly, bee, or moth, it looks like a beetle of some sort (If I'm wrong, definitely feel free to correct me). I also think Bug/Electric is a pretty awesome typing, but that's also probably because I have Joltik/Galvantula bias, but even still, you don't see that typing that often. It was even cooler to see this as the Totem Pokémon for Sophocles' Trial in the game!

Ah, good ol' Mantis Bab. Remember that joke? As much as I love Decidueye, nothing can beat the reaction I had to Fomantis and Lurantis during their initial reveal, in which they automatically earned a spot on my first team. I love the pink and green compliments in the design of Lurantis, and I actually really like how its shiny looks like a normal praying mantis, rather than an orchid mantis. It kind of reminds me of Animal Crossing, since you can obtain both types of mantis. One nice memory I'll always have was when, as a Fomantis, it single-handedly took on the Totem Wishiwashi and its Alomomola helper. It had a lot of bulk to it and I was so proud of it!

Crabominable is the ONLY new Ice type that isn't an Alolan Form in this game. As such, it had to b put in the Ice slot, even though I don't know if I like it much or not (But since I haven't used it yet, I'm still building my opinion). However, I will say that whenever I see Hala's Crabominable in Elite 4 rematches, I instantly want to destroy it because of the sheer terror it can bring if you aren't careful! It's a cool-looking Pokémon though, and it looks like a fitting evolution for Crabrawler, too.

This, in a silly sense, is a Pokémon after my own heart. Bewear love to hug its Trainers very tightly, but unfortunately this naïve bear doesn't know its own strength, as it can effortlessly snap anything in two. Now, I'm not that strong, but I love giving bear hugs to my friends, and I hug tightly because I enjoy squeezing the life out of people when I hug them, and I enjoy trying to lift them up if they're shorter than I am. But I love Bewear's Fluffy ability, as it acts just like Furfrou's Fur Coat ability. The catch, however, is that with Fluffy, Fire attacks do some extra damage to Bewear, so it has to be careful. I've used Bewear in two teams already, and it did a lot of wonderful work in both teams.

So, I don't think anybody was expecting this. Nobody thought that we'd get a Combee 2.0 with Salandit. But we did, with Salazzle. And from what I know, Salazzle is very frail. Now, while I agree that Corrosion is a great ability, especially when it allows you to poison Steel and Poison types with Toxic, this poor thing is still extremely weak to Ground. A good Earthquake can/will obliterate Salazzle. All the same, though, I think this is an awesome evolution for Salandit.

Good ol' Palossand, the Pokémon that made me think twice about choosing Mimikyu for my first team. I know I'm pretty weird, but it's a sand castle! It just looks so cool! And it didn't disappoint, either. Finding it wasa bit annoying, as Sandygast had a much lower encounter rate compared to Staryu, but it was worth it. To be honest, I can't wait until I can get a shiny version, because the cool black sand appearance looks amazing. That's not to say the default appearance isn't nice to look at, but you get the idea.
I think Minior is a cool idea. It's a meteorite, and when its health drops to below 50%, the shell breaks to reveal the core, which is a cute and squishy star. And I love how there are multiple star colors, just in case you'd rather have one of your favorite colors! And the shiny is black with a few colors dabbed inside of it, so that's pretty amazing. I have yet to use Minior, but I really want to, because it just looks like it could be a lot of fun to mess around with.

Now, this, again, is kind of cheating, as I prefer the Fire Oricorio to the other three. However, my only other real choice was Bruxish, and I don't really like Bruxish, at all. I love Oricorio, though, and I love the idea of there being a different type in each island, and using nectar to change the forms at will. It technically gives it 4 types in one Pokémon, and I just really enjoy it. While I've only really used the Baile form, I want to use the other 3 forms as well, including this one, which is Akala Island's Pa'u form.

So I've mentioned that I wanted Wishiwashi for my first team. However, when the leaks happened and I saw Golisopod, my mind was changed, as I NEEDED this creature. I wanted Wimpod to turn into something that looked fearsome, and sure enough, it did. And I love using it, it's so powerful! I'm frustrated, however, that it keeps the same ability as Wimpod, just under a different name and flavor text. This means if you take a hit and live with less than half of your HP, you are forced to switch out/flee the battle, which can be pretty annoying. All the same, though, this is an amazing Pokémon and I'm glad I used it.

You didn't think I'd forget my rock puppy, did you? As much as I love both Lycanroc forms, I went with the Midday form, as that's the Lycanroc that I had since I played Sun. Although my Lycanroc was pretty frail, I wasn't about to remove it from my team, as it's really pulled through for me. It single-handedly took on Kahili's team during my first run through the Pokémon League, defeating her Toucannon with the Rock Z-Move to destroy it before it could really do some damage. I also have a fond memory of a Lycanroc completely sweeping my friend's team in a game of Pokémon Showdown once, so that was pretty fun and amazing.

It's an anchor. With a ship's helm for a face. I love it. I haven't touched Dhelmise outside of catching it for Pokedex completion, but I can tell you this. I will be using it very soon and I want its shiny. I don't know why I like Dhelmise so much, maybe just because I think anchors and ships are cool and all, but it's just such a random Pokémon and a random concept, but I can't help but love it just for how amazing it looks. I don't have too much to say on Dhelmise, but I love it.

Kommo-o has to be one of the best-designed Dragon Pokémon in all of the series thus far, and that's saying a lot as I love the Dragons that we have. It just looks amazing, and it's out first Fighting/Dragon evolution line! Now, of course, this makes it 4x weak to Fairy, but that's a small price to pay for looking so amazing. It was really fun fighting a Totem Kommo-o near the finale of the game, because this is our pseudo-legendary-Dragon Pokémon of this game, and it was very powerful. Fitting for our final trail, huh? I also remember having to breed a couple of Jangmo-o's for some friends (one is.. not a friend anymore, so I won't dwell on that) when we all got the game,so that was pretty fun too.

Here it is, Incineroar. Now, by now the design has grown on me, far more than it did back when the starter evolutions were leaked, and eventually officially revealed. And as you all know, I named my Litten after a cat that I really loved when I'd visit my sister and niece, named Smokey. Sure, Smokey was a she, but I don't really care, because it could easily be a boy name, too. Naming one of my favorite starters after one of my favorite cats just felt right, you know? Incineroar became Fire/Dark, the exact type I was wishing Litten would eventually become. I'm glad I took Litten, because it demolished so many things throughout the story and I love how awesome it is.

So, we have our regional Pika-clone here but it's so gosh-darn adorable! It's so fat! But it's also fun to use, and in a surprising twist, it's a physical attacker, not a special attacker. Its signature move, Zing Zap, is particularly useful as it makes use of Togedemaru's physical attack and has a decent chance to make the opponent flinch! Togedemaru was going to be in my first team, but comparing its base stats to Komala revealed that Komala was just the better choice overall. In my Primarina team, however, I made sure that Togedemaru got a chance to shine!

And finally, our last Pokémon, Mimikyu. I felt bad for not having this in a few of my teams, mainly due to type overlapping. However, Mimikyu will have a nice, special place in my party when I train it to take on the Singles section of the Battle Tree, which I only want to do in order to beat Red and get the Battle Legend music for multiplayer. All the same, this poor Pokémon just wants to be loved, and it kind of made me sad during Acerola's Trial, when you see all of the Pikachu merchandise and whatnot in the room that you encounter Mimikyu in. All the same, though, I love this little Ghost/Fairy, very much.

And that's it for Alola and for the list, in general. I hope you don't mind going through all of my favorites with me and I appreciate you taking the time to read my silly thoughts about all of these Pokémon. I'll see you again soon!

Have a nice day!

Favorite Pokemon: Kalos

We're just about done. We've made it to gen 6, which features the least amount of new Pokémon in any generation (thus far). That being said, picking favorites was a little more tricky in this one, but that's okay because I still have them figured out!

I feel pretty bad for not using Furfrou on my first team in Y. In another team, I finally used Furfrou. Actually, the first time I used it was in the mono-Normal team in Omega Ruby. I had no idea how bulky or powerful it was, especially thanks to Fur Coat halving all physical damage done to it! I always give my Furfrou the Debutante Trim, and I name my Furfrou "Coco," because I feel like that's a pretty name for a pretty trim. I don't know, I just really love dogs a lot.

So lions are awesome, and even though there's nothing wrong with female Pyroar, we can all admit that we want a male, especially since Litleo's gender ratio is 87.5% female. That's the same odds as an Eevee being male. But it's worth it when you evolve your Litleo and have this fearsome lion on your side. I personally haven't used a Pyroar, but eventually I will, because I believe I'd have a lot of fun with one in a team.

So, while I do believe that Greninja has very quickly become over-rated (Smash Bros., and an entire arc of the X and Y anime series dedicated to a new form just for Greninja, which was then added to Sun and Moon) I still love it, as Froakie was my choice for Kalos. I liked Chespin and Fennekin a lot, but to be honest I saw Froakie as the least-liked choice, because... Well, who doesn't like a fennec fox? And Chespin looks adorable too. But the bubble frog was the MOST popular, which I guess I can't deny either. Plus, it's part Dark, so that's a nice bonus.

You hear that? Yep, it's time for another super cute Pokémon that I love. I've used Dedenne on a team that was led by Chesnaught, because I like to make 3 starter teams, each based around what I might have picked if I picked those starters. Dedenne was in the Chesnaught team and I can't believe how well it did. I'll always have one fond memory though. While battling against a now-ex-friend way back in late 2013, early 2014 after I got my 3DS and Pokémon Y, I defeated her Yveltal with Dedenne, which made me laugh and exclaim "How does it feel that your death wyvern was just taken down by a tiny hamster!?" Man.. I miss those good times.

I think Gogoat is pretty cool. You also get to ride on one in Lumiose City if you wish, and you can ride on a Skiddo in a later route to grab some inaccessible items. To be honest, I actually had a shiny Skiddo, but I never evolved it, as I traded it away to a friend who helped me complete my Y National Dex, as a thank you gift for all of the help she gave me. But I digress, I've used Gogoat in a team and I had a lot of fun using it and its power against my foes while I trained it up.

Despite that my fossil of choice was the Jaw Fossil, I can't deny that Aurorus is really adorable and I think it's a beautiful Pokémon, all the same. I love how its sails are always flowing, and anything that reminds me of the Aurora Borealis is always something I love because it's probably one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen (picture-wise, at least. I'd love to actually see the Northern Lights in person one day). I mean.. sure, it's painfully 4x weak to Steel and Fighting, but that doesn't mean that it can't stand up and defeat its opponents with some strong Rock and Ice moves.

I don't like Hawlucha more than I like Chesnaught so that's why Chesnaught is here. Despite that, though, I actually like Chesnuaght. Hell, I even like Quilladin. Maybe not as much as I like Chespin or Chesnaught, but still. Of course the poor thing is dreadfully weak to Flying moves, and has quite a few other weaknesses, but I still had a lot of fun using it in a team not long after I finished Y.

So, to be honest, this list has 5/6 Pokémon I used in my very first Y team (Except for Barbaracle, as Water and Rock are taken by other Pokémon). I honestly wasn't very big on Skrelp, when simply compared to Clauncher. However, when the evolutions were revealed and I saw Dragalge, especially that it suddenly goes from Water/Poison to Dragon/Poison, I immediately changed my mind and said that it'd be on my first team, and the moment I could grab a Skrelp, I did. Dragalge has such a fun typing. Sure it's weak to Psychic, Dragon, and Ground, but it's not weak to Fairy thanks to the Dragon typing.

Diggersby was the final member on my "Route 1" team in Omega Ruby, along with the other "rodents" you get in every starting route of each game. Thanks to the Ground typing, it's able to take on Fire, Rock, and Steel types a bit more easily, but suffers a lot more weaknesses because of it, such as Ice, Water, and Grass. Despite that, I found Diggersby to be a very fun and useful addition to that team, and it really dished out some powerful hits, especially with Earthquake.

I like Noivern more than I like Hawlucha as well (This is for Flying, if it's not too clear) because I just generally enjoyed Noivern more than Hawlucha. I don't think it's bad or anything, I just like it more, you know? I originally wasn't too fond of Noivern, probably because of the huge sonars on its head, but after eventually warming up to the design and even using it in a team once, I liked it a lot more. It's a cool wyvern and I love it.

A cool thing about Espurr is that its evolution is different depending on the gender. The male Meowstic is more supportive, while the female is more offensive. Considering that my battle strategy tends to just be "Attack until they lose," I like the female more than the male. I also just find it a lot more cute. I like that it's a fluffy-white color with little bits of blue. I don't know, it's just really cute. And of course, it's a grumpy cat, so some silly bonus points for another cat that has a face like mine in the morning: Grumpy and feeling meh.

Vivillon is a cool concept. It has many different patterns depending on your geographical location. However, despite not living anywhere remotely polar, this is the pattern that my Vivillon has by default in my game. I'm not complaining, though, I love the little shades of blue with a touch of snow on the wings. It's a really nice design and I really enjoy it more than the default Vivillon (I have nothing against pink but I'll take blue over pink any day, to be honest).

Another of my good buddies on my first Y team, I trained up my Tyrunt as fast as I could so that I could have Tyrantrum. I evolved it prior to entering Clemont's gym, so let's just say that Tyrantrum has a little "Happy Evolution Party" inside Prism Tower, in which I purposely answered quiz questions wrong so I could get as much exp out of there as I could. And, sadly, I had to keep it away from Laverre's gym, as the Fairies in there would have demolished it. All the same, I love this big ol' dino.

Trevenant is another Pokémon that was in that one team that I built to battle with my brother-in-law. I'd always wanted to use it prior to that team, but I had a chance to use it since I wanted to use it really badly. I loved how strong it is, and I just love the overall design of it. It looks fearsome and I certainly wouldn't want to be fighting one, especially knowing that it could have some pretty strong moves at its disposal.

Goodra was used in the Chesnaught team, as I really wanted to give it a shot. Now, of course, this is one of the Internet's favorite Pokemon but I think it's super adorable! And it's a pretty tough Dragon, and it's even better if it has Sap Sipper, as it'll boost its Attack stat if hit by a Grass-type move. Perfect for some switch-and-kill tactics. But then again, I'm a pretty casual player so I'm not the best at talking about tactics.

Another case of "I want that now!" when I first saw it, I was hoping that Pancham would gain an evolution, and sure enough we got Pangoro. This fearsome panda is ready to bust some faces. The coolest part was that I had Greninja before Pancham evolved, so I was already set, as you need a Dark type in your party to evolve Pancham when it's ready to evolve. And despite being Fighting/Dark like Scrafty, it can still pack a punch, especially if it has the Iron Fist ability. This was another addition to my first Y team and it never failed to help me out.

It's a sword. A really awesome sword. Those were my thoughts when I first saw Honedge. I didn't even need to see Doublade and Aegislash to make me want to take it. As soon as I reached Parfum Palace, I took a detour back to Route 6 in order to grab a Honedge and bring it with me. In my Pokémon Y file, my Aegislash is one of the few Pokémon that have reached level 100, just from how much I used it, especially when I needed to do some grinding. And now in Sun, I have a shiny Honedge that I brought over from Y, and I'm ready to have a shiny Aegislash!

And finally, our Fairy friend Sylveon. And Sylveon just barely beats out Slurpuff and Dedenne (But Dedenne is way up above, as you've seen already) for my favorite Kalos Fairy. It's just really cute, and I have a lot of memories with Sylveon, some good and some bad. But I think overall, Sylveon is a reminder of good and bad times. Maybe bad times have some sort of deceptive look that can make you think they're good at first, same with finding your true friends and being happy. I don't know, but I won't be too philosophical about all of that. All in all, I love Sylveon and it's one of my favorites.

And that's all for Kalos. Tomorrow we finish up with Alola, so I hope you're still sticking with me for all of these. I'll see you again soon!

Have a nice day!~

Favorite Pokemon: Unova

So, this was my all-time favorite region/generation before Sun and Moon came out. However, Unova will always have a special place in my heart due to how many fond memories I have of Pokémon White and all the teams I built in it in the past. I honestly love replaying Pokémon White (I have to play Black 2 more) every so often just because of how much fun I have. I feel like the animated Pokémon sprites (and the animated Trainer sprites, but more so in Black 2) give the game more life, and I enjoy the story a lot, too. Gen 5 honestly houses a lot of my favorite Pokémon, so this wasn't an easy list to make. But anyways, let's get right to it!

So here's another Pokémon that, while it does admittedly remind me of one of my exes, I still love this cute little ball of fluff. It was used in one of my favorite teams that I've built, specifically the team that Walrein was in, in which it was built to battle against my brother-in-law, but we never wound up fighting. All the same, though, Cinccino has always been one of my favorites, and I can't wait to place it in a team in a future Unova playthrough.

So here's a funny story. I only used Volcarona once in a team with 5 other Pokémon and I, for some reason, based this team off of a book I was reading at the time in school that I really liked. It was in a team with Zoroark, Musharna, Scolipede, Braviary, and Archeops. I don't know why I made said team, especially since it's not exactly the most well-built team out there, especially since half the team could fall to Stone Edge, but I just love how Volcarona is sort of treated as a pseudo-legendary, as there's only two ways to obtain one. One is to catch it in the Desert Ruins, and the other is to get a Larvesta egg from Route 18 (This is with the first game, mind you. I don't know how you obtain one in Black and White 2).

Seismitoad sort of reminds me of Swampert, if only due to the typing of Water/Ground. The last time I played through White, I had one on my team. By the time it was a Palpitoad, it was already showing its worth, especially after it demolished Elesa's team due to her Pokémon being unable to use Volt Switch or any electric moves on it. And it just continued to put in work from there, being, basically, on par with Serperior with how often I was using it to save the day. It also made very short work of N and Ghetsis in the finale, so I'm very happy with how much it was helping and how powerful it was.

I've honestly never used Zebstrika, ever. But I've always wanted to. And as much as I really like Emolga, I just really like this more. Maybe it's part of the mystery and wonder? Maybe it's because the Trainers who have one, or the wild ones, look very powerful? Who knows. But like I said, I've always wanted to use it, I'm just not sure why I haven't, you know?

So here's a bit of fun trivia for you. Snivy was never my original choice to go with. Originally I wanted to go with Oshawott because I found it super adorable and I liked it just a little bit more than I liked Snivy. However, at the time that Black and White was releasing here, my girlfriend (at the time) and I had just recently broken up, and she loved Oshawott as well, and seeing Oshawott reminded me of her. So, I picked Snivy instead, as it was my 2nd option (I like Tepig but I've just never used it yet). However, I don't regret it as, even though I've used Samurott by now and loved it, Snivy will always be my big starter choice for Unova, and like Cyndaquil, it holds a lot of weight with other things I've done as the years have gone by. Plus, it's a big ol' snake, and that's pretty awesome.

I always tend to like weird-looking Pokémon. Cryogonal is a nice example of a weird Pokémon. Now, I do like the Cubchoo line and the Vanillite line (I know some people are going to get really upset over me liking the ice cream Pokémon, but that's how the internet is) but I always liked Cryogonal a bit more. It's really rare (unless it's Winter ingame) and finding one requires you to really hunt it down and take the time to find it, but it's a pretty bulky Ice type, as the one I used was able to take a lot of hits and keep on pushing strong.

So, I used Scrafty in my very first playthrough of White, and it was named after an old friend of mine who really loved Scraggy and Scrafty. However, nowadays, I can honestly tell you that, besides always liking Scrafty, my liking for it has increased ever since I started watching HoodlumScrafty on YouTube, as his content somehow really hits my kind of humor and it always makes me laugh with how silly he and his buddies can be. And because of him, I name my Scrafty after him, because why not, ya know? So thanks for the laughs, Callum, you're a pretty awesome guy.

As you read earlier, Scolipede was used in a team with Volcarona, and it did better than I thought it would. More recently, however, it was part of my first Black 2 team, where it helped take out a lot of Grass and Dark types and could easily stand up to any Fighting type with its 4x resistance to Fighting moves. Honestly this is probably one of, if not, the coolest Bug types I've ever seen in the game (Although for this spot in the list it's technically counting the Poison typing, but you get the idea).

Alright so we have a Pokémon that just looks amazing. It's like a big automaton of destruction and I absolutely love its typing of Ghost/Ground. And when paired with the Iron Fist ability, Golurk will seriously be punching holes in the opposition. It was in my first White team and it was just knocking everything down, as once I saw this, I said to myself, as I say with many Pokémon, "I need this. Right now."

So here's something cool. I was raising a Rufflet to be a Braviary as I was working on the Pokedex and such. As I trained on Victory Road, a shiny Rufflet appears. So I caught it and trained that one and BAM, shiny Braviary. Now, I do admit that I like the colors of Braviary more than its shiny variant, but you can't beat that my first impression of Braviary was a shiny version of it, which is some pretty awesome luck.

Musharna was, again, on that team with Volcarona and Scolipede. I haven't really used it again since, but it was a very bulky and powerful Psychic type and I loved having it by my side to tackle Fighting and Poison types, as its powerful Psychic moves could cut through them like a hot knife through butter and simply rip them apart. All the while, it's just sleeping away and emitting Dream Mist. Eat your heart out Komala, we had a heavy sleeper way before you (Although to be fair, Snorlax did it first)!

So, I missed out on having a shiny Galvantula once. And I regret that to this day. I was building a team, and so I was going around Unova to train. As I went through Chargestone Cave to train more, I came across a shiny Joltik! The problem was... I didn't have a single Poké Ball on me... Yeah, not very fun, eh? So, I just ran from it. And ever since that day I've made sure that I ALWAYS have a healthy supply of Poké Balls in my inventory, for any such occasion. Besides that big memory, I just really love spider Pokémon, what can I say? This is an awesome Pokémon.

Oh Archeops, your ability is so pitiful. But I always liked this better than Carracosta. It always looked so fearsome in its gen 5 sprite, but then it became so goofy once gen 6 and its 3D models came around. Like, it gained weight in 3D and looks fat and goofy, but that makes me like it a lot because it gives me a good laugh. All the same, though, it proved to be really handy when I made the team with Volcarona, and Archeops was using Acrobatics on everything and demolishing them all.

So I feel really stupid. I've been calling this "Confagrigus" the whole time, by adding an n into the name that doesn't belong there. That's embarrassing, so say the least. But anyways, Cofagrigus has always been so much fun to use and it just looks so menacing. Like it looks like it just wants to snatch you right up and shove you in its coffin and kill you, or take your soul. Whichever, I guess. Its ability, Mummy, is pretty useful depending on the situation, as it renders some abilities useless. For example, it can completely remove a Scrafty's Moxie ability and prevent it from gaining Attack every time it defeats a Pokémon. It's just so much fun to use, honestly.

So, I love Dragons and this one is just amazing. It's part Dark, so there's my favorite type right there. But actually obtaining one is a pain! It doesn't evolve from Zweilous until level 64. Yes, 64!!! That's a VERY long day to go! But it's worth it to have this monster in your party. I've used Hydreigon a few times, but every time I have, it's just destroyed everything. Could you imagine if this gave it a Mega Evolution? I think it'd be pretty tough to beat, if you ask me.

So I was pretty interested in Zoroark ever since it was leaked and shown off, and there were all of these cool little fan-made tracks on YouTube about a potential "Battle! Zoroark!" theme, which was pretty cool as everyone was still summing up potential battle themes and making renditions of what they thought would be it. But it has a cool Ditto-like ability, but once it takes damage, the Illusion wears off. It also doesn't change from being Dark type, so you have to watch what Pokémon it transforms into. Also, even though it's not Zoroark, Zorua reminds me of one of my best friends, as her sona is a shiny Zorua, so that makes me like the evolution line even more than I already did!

Excadrill has always just looked cool to me. It's got some fearsome claws and it's got a pretty fun type of Steel/Ground. Of course, this gives it all of the weaknesses that Steelix has, but I've used Excadrill once in a team before, and it was pretty handy with its moves, and I just really love having it around. I need to use it on more teams though, it has yet to unleash its full potential against some tough opponents.

And finally, we have our fluffy Whimsicott. Now, since I have White, I can't obtain a Cottonee naturally. However, in Nacrene City, I can trade a Petilil to someone in order to receive said Cottonee (And I imagine that in Black,  it works the same way, just with the Pokémon switched). I've always loved it, because it's just a very adorable Pokémon and it's very fluffy. Like it has all of the cuteness that I'm a sucker for and I just want to give it a hug. But all the same, it's a very tough Fairy/Grass type and it means business too, especially if you have your Dark/Fighting/Dragon types around!

And that's it for Unova! I enjoyed going through my 2nd favorite region today and I'll see you again tomorrow for Kalos as we approach the end of my favorite Pokémon list!

Have a nice day!~
