Epic Mickey 2

Epic Mickey 2 may not be as ground-breaking as the first title, but I still think this one is a ton of fun. Even if people complain about it, and I don't know what they complain about, I still enjoyed it very much. Was it frustrating? Only a little, for some quests for the Perfectionist trophy, but Oswald's AI was never an issue with me. But it felt like playing the first one again, minus the often-sensitive Wii Remote functionality. But much like the jump from Okami on the Wii, to Okami on the PS3 (Hey, that rhymed!), the change from motion control to using an analog stick really felt better, personally. I felt like I could control it much better. While using Paint/Thinner, Mickey is rooted to his position, almost like when you click the R button to shoot water in Super Mario Sunshine, and you can then freely aim by moving the reticule around the screen.

As for how Oswald behaves, I had zero issues with it. When I needed him to do something, he was pretty responsive. If he wasn't going into the right spot, like maybe he was stuck or something, a good whack fixed the issue pretty fast. Otherwise, everything was smooth sailing.

And of course, the good ol' Junction Points, the quests or points where your choices make a decent enough difference to matter. Typically, they affect small sequences in the ending, where it shows the aftermath of the places you visited based on your choice to help or hinder. I love choice games, because they make me want to play them again for the other sides and different outcomes. I only played this twice, but between helping everyone and befriending my enemies, and then helping nobody and eliminating my enemies, it was a good enough difference to matter, of course.

Thanks for reading, as always, and I hope you look forward to tomorrow's trophy guide! See you later! :D

My 2nd Pokemon Sun Team

So, I of course had to make another team in Sun, this time based on Rowlet instead of Litten. And eventually I'll make one based on Popplio as well. Real briefly, I'll show you what they were!

So, of course it's led by Decidueye, which has to have my favorite design out of all 3 starter final evolutions. And the Grass/Ghost combo is pretty awesome. This, like Primarina, is what I actually hoped Rowlet would become when the Chinese leaks were spreading around the web, because those two looked wonderful. Not sure what to name it, honestly. As much as I would love to name it after Zelda's Kaepora Gaebora, I decided to name it after Animal Crossing's Blathers. Why? Well, part of Dartrix's entry mentions how it can become flustered and a little scatterbrained at times. I felt like it fit, honestly.

I honestly don't know why Ribombee is so cute and precious to me. Maybe it's that tiny smile? Maybe the tiny scarf it has? Whatever the case, it was enough to let it charm its way onto this team. Part of the deciding factor was its usefulness as Cutiefly in the early stages of Sun, especially during the battle with Hala, as its Fairy typing was a great choice against Hala's Fighting types. Not only that, but the pure resistance to Fighting was a huge help to Torracat, as it couldn't do it alone. I named my Ribombee Scarlet. Why? No idea why, maybe because of the scarf. It works for me.

As mentioned before, I was crushed when I couldn't bring Type: Null with me in my first playthrough, so I made sure it was brought to the next team. Silvally is useful as it can fit any type, and while in the Pokémon League, I gave it different memories for each member of the Elite 4, so that I could easily have an advantage over certain Pokémon. I called it Hope, which you'll understand once you learn of Type: Null's background and the origin of its name in the story. That's something I don't want to spoil.

Out of its 4 forms, I say that the Baile form is the default look for Oricorio. It just looks the best to me, but that's probably because of my extreme bias to red and black since they're my favorite colors. But it's cool that Oricorio can fit 4 different types (5 if you count Flying) to fit certain roles. As I used the Baile form, this means that mine was Fire/Flying. And boy, it definitely pulled its weight, especially with Revelation Dance doing some wonderful damage and Oricorio taking some huge hits, but still left standing. I loved using it. I called mine Camila, after looking up a list of Hispanic Baby Names for Girls, as I wanted to have some lovely-sounding name to match the Spanish dancer aesthetic.

And thus, Whishwashi got its vengeance and demolished many things as it showed the world that it can stand toe-to-toe with Golisopod in my eyes, and the amazing stat boosts from Schooling are amazing. Wishiwashi took down several foes and it was just so much fun to use. I still stuck with that original name plan: 2Cool4School.

I had to. After I saw how amazing Kommo-o was, and how loved it was among a couple of my friends, I had to use it for myself, and it did NOT disappoint! It was a killing machine and it's such an awesome Dragon type! And the part Fighting has its own uses and flaws, but it's still a fun Pokémon to use! I called mine General Scales, a silly callback to the secondary antagonist from Starfox Adventures. I felt that it fit. I had to shorten it to Gen. Scales, but it still works.

And that was my second team for Pokémon Sun, led by Decidueye! Next time I talk about a team, it will be the 3rd starter team, led by Primarina. Until then, see you all later! :D

Taking a Break Tonight

I had an unexpectedly long day today, with my sister dragging me out to walk to the nearby doctor with her (I was her last choice, since her friend wasn't available at the time due to her working), and then spending another 2 hours here, while my niece was running me ragged. I don't mind my niece, cause she's silly and I love her, but I'm just worn out. And today I didn't know what I was going to write about, because I had no clue what was even happening today, so tonight I'm just going to take it easy and get rid of this migraine I have. When I get better, I have to get that trophy guide done and make some progress on it. Thanks for understanding, see you tomorrow! :D

Happy Birthday to Me!

I'm so happy, this is the best birthday I've had in ages. My grandmother is home and recovering, my best friend stopped by to wish me happy birthday and got me a gift, and I was able to give his gift to him, my friends and family are wishing me well, I got Pokémon Sun on launch day. This is a wonderful birthday, and as of right now, the best one yet! Thank you all so much!

Happy Thanksgiving!

So I won't be long, because we're still preparing everything and all, but I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you all have some good food and stuff yourselves. But besides that, I just hope you have something to be thankful for this year. Personally, I'm just glad my grandma is okay and is recovering so that we can spend a nice Thanksgiving together, because that's all I wanted this year. Have a wonderful day and I will see you later! :D

Pokemon Sun: The 7 I Couldn't Choose

Cryptic title aside, there were a lot of changes that had to be made when I made my first team in Sun. These are 7 Pokémon in particular that I had to change my mind about, for a few reasons, whether it was due to type choices or that another Pokémon was just... more impressive, in my opinion. Bear in mind, I don't dislike these Pokémon in any way, these are just some that I couldn't bring with me on that first run, for whatever reasons, with the last 3 being the ones I really hated not being able to take, especially the final one.

I like Bewear, and I also like Stufful a lot, but when it came time to pick a replacement for Type: Null, it was between Bewear, Comfey, Togedemaru, and Komala. Komala won in the end, and even then it was more of a battle between Togedemaru and Komala, honestly. Bewear, however, will be placed on my Popplio team when I make it, so it'll absolutely get its chance to shine.

Like Bewear, Comfey was in the last pick for my Type: Null replacement, but like Bewear, it was pushed aside for the two I wanted the most. I adore Comfey, and I've seen its shiny, and want it, but sadly it's not enough for it to make my Rowlet team (Primarina is part Fairy, so I don't let types overlap) as Ribombee just barely beat Comfey for that spot on the team, but I'll use Comfey on another team one day, I guarantee it.

An extremely close contender for my first team, Togedemaru lost to Komala when I saw that Komala just generally has the better stats, and doesn't have the frightening 4x weakness to Ground. Sure, Togedemaru has Magnet Rise, but it's still weak to Fighting and Fire. But like Bewear, Togedemaru has a secure spot in my Popplio team, so it, too, will get a chance to shine.

Probably the most heart-breaking part about Mimikyu not being on the Litten team is that is was the ONLY starter team that it could have been okay to be in. Decidueye is part Ghost and Primarina is part Fairy, so I feel really bad about letting Palossand replace it. But that's okay, because Mimikyu will lead its own team at some point, and even take part in a Pikachu-based team one day as well. Hang in there, Mimikyu, we all love you!

Because of my no-overlapping types rule, I had to keep myself from putting Salandit on my team, which killed me, as Salandit is one of my favorite gen 7 Pokémon, and I like Salazzle a lot, as well/ Salandit, however, will be placed in my Popplio team, as one of the main 3 Pokémon, alongside Tsareena and Primarina. I can't wait to use this little lizard, it's going to be so much fun!

One of the biggest and hardest choices I had to make, replacing Wishiwashi with Golisopod, as Golisopod just barely managed to beat out Wishiwashi in terms of "How much do I want this Pokémon?" However, like most of these Pokémon, Wishiwashi will find solace knowing that it can unleash its power within my Rowlet team, and crush its enemies with the School Form's raw power!

The most devastating blow for me, learning that Type: Null isn't until post game, and needing to make a sudden replacement. Komala won, sure, but it killed me that I couldn't use one of my top 3 favorite Alola Pokémon for the first game clear. As a consolation, I threw Silvally into the Rowlet team, and it can fit into any team thanks to the RKS System, which lets it be any of the 18 types. I'll definitely make up for not being able to use this mighty beast in battle.

And those are the 7 Pokémon I couldn't use in my first team, for various reasons. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday tomorrow, if you celebrate Thanksgiving, and thanks for reading, I appreciate it lots! See you later! :D

100 Blog Posts!

Wow, at 100 already huh? Just over 3 months old and I did 100 posts already. Wow, I'm actually impressed with myself. But this isn't about me, this is all thanks to any of you who view this or take time to look at my silly words or my weird thoughts.

So thank you, any and all of you, so much for continuing to look at this blog and make me feel like someone cares about it besides myself. It means so much to me, and I hope that this whole thing only gets better and that I have more chances to communicate with all of you. You're all amazing and you're wonderful, don't you ever forget it! :D

My Overall Experience with Pokemon Sun (So Far)

So I'll be really brief today, because it's really cold and I'm trying to keep warm, so I'll just be quick about it too. I finished Pokémon Sun's main story last night. I won't spoil anything, but the ending plot and events are really touching and heartfelt, and it made me tear up a bit with how wonderful it is. Currently I'm hunting down Pokémon for the Pokedex and have successfully caught all of the Ultra Beasts and Necrozma, and I have just captured Tapu Lele after getting Tapu Koko last night. I have to get Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini, and some other Pokémon that I won't go into detail about. I'm definitely going to try and fill that Alola Pokedex as soon as I can so that I can get my Shiny Charm, too! But this game is so much fun and I love it. I love it very much, it just feels... perfect. I love the details, I love the dialogue and in-jokes and other references to other games in the Pokémon series. I love the music, the aesthetics, everything. I can't wait to build teams and have fun with friends and help my friends fill up their Pokedexes as well! As always, thanks for reading this small post, and I will see you later! :D

My First Team in Pokemon Sun

So, I'm making some good progress in Pokémon Sun. Currently I'm on my way towards the 2nd trial on Ula'Ula Island, making it trial 6 out of 7, and still 2 Grand Trials left to do. My first team is fully assembled now, and save for one, they're all fully evolved. So right now, I'll briefly show you my first team, and possibly why I picked them (for the umpteenth time).

So as I've said before, I love Litten, and I loved using it and watching it evolve. At first, definitely not into how Incineroar looked, but I ended up getting over that quickly. I hoped, very much, that it wouldn't be Fire/Fighting, based on how it looks, and my prayers were answered when it was part Dark instead, my all-time favorite type. My Incineroar, Smokey, is doing some serious damage right now and it only gets tougher!

As said before, I love dogs and cats, so the duo of Litten and Rockruff working together is awesome. And now I have my Midday Lycanroc, and it's fast and powerful, able to take out pesky Flying types, and Bug types, with much ease. My Rockruff, named Roxas, evolved into Lycanroc prior to doing Kiawe's trial, so that I had a nice, strong type advantage over the Totem Salazzle.

Lurantis was a surprise to me when it wasn't part Bug, only pure Grass. This, of course, eliminated the weaknesses to Rock moves, and didn't curse it with a 4x weakness to Fire. It's also just really adorable, I love the pink and green color scheme and I think it suits it a lot. I searched high and low on Route 5 until I finally found my Fomantis, and, to continue with the silly names and silly jokes, I lovingly named it Mantis Bab.

As there's no official artwork for Golisopod shown yet, I have to simply show Wimpod. Wimpod wasn't my first choice for a Water type, that honor went to Wishiwashi, but once leaks happened and I saw Golisopod, Wimpod's evolution, it was enough to make me choose Wimpod over Wishiwashi, which I do feel bad about, but I love Golisopod! After finally reaching level 30, my Wimpod, named Omicron, became Golisopod, and it gained a MASSIVE boost to its Attack and Defense, and can crush anything in almost one hit thanks to the new move, First Impression!

While my Sandygast isn't a Palossand just yet, it's only 5 levels away from evolving, so it still counts. I love weird Pokémon, hence why I like the Trubbish, Vanillite, Klink, and Sandygast lines, among others. It stuck out a lot when I saw Sandygast and Palossand in the CoroCoro leaks, alongside Pyukumuku and Wishiwashi, and I exclaimed, "It's a sand castle!? It's a sand castle!" and I knew I wanted it. It has some dark Pokedex entries, and shares the same type as Golurk, one of my favorite Unova Pokémon. I wanted a male, to call it Sand King (horrible nickname, I know) but I learned that its encounter rate is only 20%, with the other 80% going to Staryu (thanks to Serebii for that information) so when I found a female Sandygast, well, I'm not picky about it. Now I have Sand Queen.

As I stated previously, I couldn't take Type: Null for certain plot reasons, so the choice was then between Bewear, Comfey, Togedemaru, and Komala, with the main choice being between Togedemaru and Komala. When images of the base stats and such started appearing, I decided to look, and when I compared the two, Komala won in pretty much everything, only losing to Togedemaru in Speed and tying with it for HP. Even so, Komala has a wicked 115 base Attack, matching Incineroar's base Attack, no less. It has yet to reach its full power, but my Komala, named Snoozer, will become really tough, I'm sure of it.

And that's my first team. I plan on making plenty of other teams, of course, but I only have half of my teams chosen for Rowlet and Popplio, but one day I'll get them done and I'll share it with all of you. As usual, thanks so much for reading, don't forget to vote on the poll for your favorite Grass starter, and I will see you later! :D

Current Progress in Pokemon Sun

*WARNING: IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED BY THIS GAME IN ANY WAY, DON'T READ THIS POST ANY LONGER! THIS POST HAS SPOILERS LEADING UP TO JUST BEFORE KIAWE'S TRIAL ON AKALA ISLAND!*

So I finally got Pokémon Sun yesterday, with much thanks to my dad for waiting in line at GameStop for an hour on my behalf. I do appreciate it a lot. I'm having a lot of fun with the game right now and I can't wait to continue playing and have a lot of fun with it!

I chose Litten, of course, and very easily made my way through Ilima's Trial in the Verdant Cavern, after disposing of some Team Skull thugs. I luckily had a Cutiefly with me when I finally reached Hala, so his Mankey, Makuhita, and Crabrawler were no match for it and my Torracat. After beating him, we're given the ability to use Poke Ride, so I quickly smashed my way down to Ten Carat Hill to pick up my Rockruff, and then leveled it a little before heading out, all the while traveling with Hau and Lillie, and her little Cosmog.

So, after reaching Akala Island, I bought more clothes and I went towards a beautiful hotel and entered a battle with Dexio, from X and Y, before he gave me the Zygarde Cube to collect Zygarde Cores. After making my way through Route 4 and finally reaching Route 5, I wasted no time in collecting my Fomantis, and trained it a bit before making my way towards Brooklet Hill to undergo Lana's Trial, which had a very intense and epic last battle with the Totem Wishiwashi! Finally, after having previously battled Gladion, we made it to Route 6 to grind a bit, then this new area that houses the Battle Royal. After a demonstration battle, we're on our merry way up Route 7 and the Wela Volcano, where I stopped just before Kiawe's trial gate.

This game is so much fun and I can't wait to play more! I hope you guys have fun playing it too and I will see you later! :D

New Poll While I Wait

So, still waiting on my dad to come home so we can head to GameStop and grab my copy of Pokémon Sun, so in the meantime, have another week-long poll! Vote on it and we'll see the results on Thursday. Until then, see you later! :D

Tales of Symphonia Trophy Guide

Welcome to the trophy guide for Tales of Symphonia! This game will be a test of patience as you must get through 5 playthroughs, minimum, for this hard-earned and rare platinum. Do you think you have what it takes? Well, let's find out!

*As a note, I won't give many strategies to bosses, nor will I do any plot-based descriptions if I can help it, other than titles. That being said, strategy is subjective, as many people have different playstyles and use different characters, so you can do things your own way. My default setup is always Lloyd, Kratos/Zelos, Colette, and Raine, and it always works for me.*

Also, in order to further help with the collection of titles and other nice strategies, as well as a more in-depth 100% guide on how to get everything for this game, I highly recommend this guide by Kratos15354 on GameFAQs, as it helped me achieve the platinum for this game. I'll link the guide just under this, so definitely consider using it if you're looking for a full guide for this game, PS3 version or not.

Kratos15354's Guide

Symphonia Master
You have obtained all trophies. You have mastered Symphonia!
This is a hard-earned platinum, and if you get this, pat yourself on the back, you earned it!

Universal Knight
Lloyd has obtained 10 titles. He has many titles as a swordsman, but does that mean he's a great swordsman?
See Worldwide Knight.

Worldwide Knight
Lloyd has obtained all titles.
Lloyd has the most titles in the game, and some of them are a bit annoying to get, like Gung Ho... *shudders* Check out the above guide for an easier time finding all of his titles.

Tottering Chosen
Colette has obtained 10 titles. She's not ditzy all the time!
See My Dear Colette.

My Dear Colette
Colette has obtained all titles. I guess you love Colette?
Colette, in my opinion, has one of the easier title lists. One of her titles, PS3 exclusive, is.. very time-sensitive, but not impossible, otherwise they're pretty easy for the most part.

Kratos the Knight
Kratos has obtained all titles. He is everyone's hero.
Kratos can only be permanently in your party if he's chosen in Flanoir, otherwise Zelos will fit the slot instead. Otherwise, Kratos' title list is pretty normal, hence why he doesn't have 2 title trophies.

Ball and Stick Apprentice
Genis has obtained 10 titles. Ball and stick is godly.
See Ball and Stick Master.

Ball and Stick Master
Genis has obtained all titles. Fear the younger brother.
Fulfilling all of the title criteria for Genis will require you to complete the Figuring Book and play the Katz Red-Light-Green-Light game on the Tethe'alla Bridge, which can be a bit frustrating at times. Otherwise, he's not too bad to finish with.

Raine the Healer
Raine has obtained 10 titles. Professor Raine can be scary, but she is very kind at heart.
See All-Healing Raine.

All-Healing Raine
Raine has obtained all titles. She's scary, but she heals you.
Raine will require you to spend casino chips on a PS3 title, as well as finish the Collector's Book and the Monster List, making her title list the hardest next to Lloyd's, in my opinion.

Tenfold Summoner
Sheena has obtained 10 titles. Mysterious in an assassin way?
See Igaguri Style!

Igaguri Style!
Sheena has obtained all titles. The most powerful summoner that commands the summon spirits.
Among other things, Sheena requires you to have all of the summon spirits, which includes Maxwell, and requires you to see Verius after completing Kuchinawa's duel.

Zelos Impact
Zelos has obtained 10 titles. He's killing it.
See Zelos the Harlem Master.

Zelos the Harlem Master
Zelos has obtained all titles. He has bewitched all women.
The hardest part about this set is Gigolo and Gilgamesh, two titles which have a few pretty tight requirements for completion. And no, the Gigolo glitch was patched in the PS3 version, so there's no easy chances this time.

10 Presea
Presea has obtained 10 titles. She looks like a child.
See All of Presea.

All of Presea
Presea has obtained all titles. She'll keep swinging that ax.
Defeating Abyssion is the only way to get one of her elusive titles, so make sure you're ready for a tough fight.

Regal Weapon
Regal has obtained 10 titles. Just look at his abs.
See Regal the Great.

Regal the Great
Regal has obtained all titles. They're just filled with Regal's greatness.
Regal honestly doesn't have many interesting criteria, but he does get a nifty chef outfit at some point, courtesy of the Wonder Chef himself. Otherwise, nothing too bad.

Cleared Sylvarant
Lloyd and his party have now arrived in Tethe'alla.
Story based, can't miss it.

Cleared Tethe'alla
Lloyd and his party can now move between the two worlds.
Story based, can't miss it.

Cleared Derris-Kharlan
What is the name of this tree?
Story based, can't miss it.

Sword Dancer Slayer
Defeated all 3 Sword Dancers. You can open a weapon shop with all their swords. But that's too much work.
Be ready with Light-based artes or some very strong weaponry, as the Sword Dancers are tough, and only get tougher with each incarnation of the beast, with the final one boasting tremendous HP and power!

Abyssion Buster
Defeated Abyssion. So there!
Abyssion is essentially the superboss of the game, boasting high power and the ability to use artes from everyone in your party, active or not. Defeating him, however, is the only way to unlock the true power of the Devil's Arms, and receive one of Presea's titles. He's tough, but with enough effort, you can take him down!

The Sister: Seles
Defeated Zelos' sister Seles in the Coliseum. Sisters are tough.
After viewing the final scene, you can challenge Seles after winning the Advanced Singles Tournament. Defeating her gets you the Last Fencer, one of the best weapons for Kratos/Zelos! But she's surprisingly tough, so watch out!

Top of the Coliseum
Defeated Gar, Farah, and Meredy in the Coliseum. Nice going!
This is the Tales Cameo. You better have your best strategies planned, because these guys will work together to take you down, so be high-leveled with strong equipment, namely the unlocked Devil's Arms if you can.

Three Legendary Heroes
Defeated Kratos, Yuan, and Mithos in the Forbidden Anamnesis. You just caught a lucky break.
These 3 are similar to the Tales Cameo, but a lot tougher. I recommend waiting until your 2nd playthrough to attempt Nifilheim, as you'll be able to level faster and be way stronger and more able to defeat these guys!

First-Time Cooking
Cooked for the first time. Don't worry about messing up, just keep challenging yourself!
You can do this as soon as Genis gives you ingredients to make sandwiches. Just make food after the battle and this is yours. This will more than likely be your very first trophy.

Finality
Performed a mystic arte for the first time. Win gracefully!
As mystic artes are a little annoying to trigger, your best bet is having Sheena in your active battle party, as once she hits Overlimit status, she tends to summon a summon spirit, which counts as a mystic arte.

Unison Attacker
Performed a unison attack for the first time. Everyone was in unison.
Just use the unison attack the first chance you get, simple as that.

Blacksmith's Hours
Customized a weapon for the first time. There is no such thing as a useless weapon.
There's a tutorial for this as early as your first visit to Triet, so this almost can't be missed. It's optional, but it helps get stronger equipment in the long run, for the most part.

Hard Puncher
Cleared the game with the difficulty set to "Hard." Challenge "Mania" next time.
See True Mania.

True Mania
Cleared the game with the difficulty set to "Mania." Were the battles epic?
You don't have to play the whole game on Hard or Mania, unless you want to. To get these, you only have to defeat the final boss while the difficulty is set to Hard or Mania. Just watch out for Mithos' mystic artes and stronger artes as you reach higher difficulties!

Celebrate 100!
You've encountered 100 battles! Don't let your guard down.
You'll definitely have this without grinding. Just fight any enemy you see, you'll get here.

Celebrate 1000!
You've encountered 1,000 battles! Battles never end.
This will take grinding, but you can keep battle data between playthroughs with New Game + and the GRADE Shop, so don't hesitate if you don't want to exhaust yourself in one playthrough.

Love Me Tender
Your maximum hit number is 10! Work with your friend and pummel the enemy!
You'll get this early enough, as reaching a 10 hit combo isn't too hard to manage. Just keep trying, you'll get there.

100 Idol
Your maximum hit number is 100! Why do your enemies even try?
Best done in Torent Forest against the Gold Dragon, utilizing the Unison Attack Combo, Stardust Rain, which requires Lloyd and Colette. Lloyd needs to use Sword Rain: Alpha(for more hits) and Colette needs to use Hammer Rain. The many stars should be more than enough to reach 100 as long as you start with a good combo before starting the unison attack.

Million Dollars
You obtained one million casino chips!
If you've played Final Fantasy XIII-2 and tried to win the shards and Serendipity-based trophies, you'll know that this takes ages. Just keep playing the slots in Altamira and save before you do. If you win big, be sure to save if you're worried about losing all of the chips. You'll get it eventually, just keep trying!

100 Hours
You played 100 hours! Thanks for playing! (I hope you were playing.)
This is easily seen in the menu when you hit Triangle for each time you need to look at anything. Play time can be carried over into additional playthroughs thanks to New Game + so don't hesitate to keep the total game time.

A Collector's Collector
You completed the Collector's Book! You must now know the true meaning of the universe.
See the guide for the entire list of items!

Monster Fanatic
You completed the Monster List! So how many monsters did you kill?
See the guide for all monster locations!

So that's the trophy guide! I'm sorry this one wasn't as great as the previous ones, with all the stress going on lately, I've been short on time and didn't want to postpone this guide. I still hope you enjoyed reading it and I'm glad that you took time to look at this. As always, thanks so much and I'll see you later! :D

*This game took me a total of 8 months and 1 week to finish, from my first trophy to the platinum, which includes a small hiatus in between it all. My first trophy was "First-Time Cooking" which was achieved on August 21st, 2015 at 5:11 PM. My final trophy was "Regal the Great" which was achieved on May 1st, 2016 at 7:30 PM, along with the platinum, "Symphonia Master." This platinum trophy is the 41st platinum trophy I have received.*

Tales of Symphonia

Ah, Symphonia, my first Tales game, and still so corny and silly, and fun. If you exclude Final Fantasy, this is my first JRPG game I've ever played, shown to me by the same person who showed me Fire Emblem. It's fun, chews hours of your time, and it's very easy to pick up and play. And of course with the New Game Plus mechanic, playing it multiple times can be fun, especially with better experience modifiers and other cool things to buy with GRADE.

All of your standard RPG stuff is there, like equipment, weapons, experience, leveling up, skills, etc., but it's always easy to change. Unlike some RPGs, the enemies can be seen on the world map and you can avoid them if you don't want to battle, but eventually you'll get rushed if you avoid battle too long. Even then, battling isn't a chore unless you make it into one. Plus, you'll want to keep your levels up just so nothing can easily demolish you later on. The Title system, that benefits certain stats based on level ups, is always fun, and some give you fun costumes too!

All in all, every Tales games has something fun, or is just really fun and exciting to play. If you like long games, or just RPGs/JRPGs in general, definitely pick this up. Try getting "Tales of Symphonia Chronicles" on the PS3, so you can get this, and the sequel, in one box, because then it saves you from having to get this game on Gamecube or PS2, and then the sequel on the Wii. You won't regret trying these games out, you'll get hooked on something!

One Last Sun and Moon Trailer

Well, with 4 days to go until Sun and Moon come out, we've received one last trailer, showing us the exclusive Z-Moves for Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina, as well as the official reveal of Alola Diglett and Dugtrio, and 2 more Ultra Beasts. Let's get right into it!

Firstly, the Z-Moves. Decidueye's Z-Move is called Sinister Arrow Raid. In it, Decidueye flies up high and summons a ring of arrows, then it dive-bombs into the opponent, assaulting it with its body and the arrows before a purple explosion appears. Next, Incineroar's Z-Move, Malicious Moonsault, in which it creates a wrestling ring from the ground, then proceeds to jump on the turnbuckle, at which point its belt flashes. It then leaps high into the air, engulfing itself in flames before crashing back down onto the ring and into the opponent, causing a massive explosion. Finally, Primarina's Oceanic Operetta. Primarina starts to sing as a massive ball of water forms above it. Then, it somehow pushes the ball towards the opponent. As the water orb is on the opponent, Primarina hits a high note, causing the ball to drop on the opponent in an explosion of water and sparkles as Primarina takes a bow as rain falls before it.

So next, a small look at the two Ultra Beasts revealed in this trailer.

First, we have UB-03 Lighting, which is oddly known as Lightning in Japan. Not sure why the English name dropped the first N. Oh well. This terrifying nightmare seems to be Electric type, which is pretty obvious. It also looks terrifying. In the trailer, it showed Lighting gaining some stat boost, similar to what happens when you encounter a Totem Pokémon, but the aura was a crimson color instead of an orange-yellow color.

And next we have UB-05 Glutton, or a very demonic nightmare that looks scary and awesome at the same time. Evidently this Ultra Beast is known to eat anything, this includes masses of land and rivers, but never has any waste products, which leads some to believe the things it eats convert into raw energy for this monster to use. It's not certain what type it is, I think it could be Dark or even a Dragon, if not Dark/Dragon. I want it, though, it looks amazing, and horrific.

And finally, let's look at our now-officially revealed Alola Forms.

So first we have Alola Diglett, which is now Ground/Steel. Why Steel? Because that hair is metallic whiskers. Yep, that's right. That hair is made out of Steel in order to survive the harsh volcanic environments. It looks silly and goofy, and it gains a new Ability: Tangling Hair, in which making contact with Diglett will lower the Speed of the Pokémon who attacked it. But how would you get tangled in that kind of hair..?

Lastly, Alola Dugtrio, which was already able to be found within the demo, so people knew about it already. Much like Diglett, the hair is metallic in form, hence that Steel type added to it. Same Abilities as Diglett, and this just looks weird..... and fabulous.

Lastly, the trailer mentions to not miss out on In-Game Gift Pokémon, such as Ash-Greninja from the demo, and the Munchlax distribution that comes with Snorlium-Z, which is exclusive to Snorlax and allows it to use Pulverizing Pancake, its unique Z-Move. It also mentions Magearna and says to go to the Pokémon website to learn more, but there's no info on anything besides a Japanese Magearna distribution. Soon enough, though.

And that's it, the final Sun and Moon trailer. The game is 4 days away now, and I can hardly wait to finally get my hands on a copy this coming Friday. I'm not sure what the blog post will be that day, but I'll think of something. I'll find a blog post for tomorrow, then Wednesday look at my thoughts on Tales of Symphonia, and finally the trophy guide on Thursday. It's a busy week, for sure, but your continued support really helps me out, more than you know. So thank you, as always, and I will see you later! :D

My Favorite Pokemon from Each Region

*Note that this is only valid until generation 8 eventually comes out, in which my opinions may have changed, namely for gen 7 since I haven't played it yet, but for now it's incredibly valid. Also, it'll just comprise of 4 Pokémon and the starter I always pick. Biased, absolutely, but hey, it's all just my opinion. Nobody says you need to agree with me :)*

Kanto

I've always liked Bulbasaur, especially after seeing Ash's in the anime. It always looked awesome and strong, and just overall cool. It also happens to be half Poison, which is one of my favorite types, and it just has a great amount of usefulness in early Kanto, and even for some other leaders, like Erika and Koga, and even Giovanni. I just really enjoy starting up a Kanto game again and grabbing Bulbasaur, and then promptly destroying Blue right away.

Nidoking has always been just.. awesome. It's that one Pokémon that almost everyone brings up when they think of awesome designs or just an amazing Pokémon. If you ask me, it's a bit over-rated, but it can be forgiven because it really is fun to use and just looks so cool. Last time I played Fire Red, I used a Nidoking, and boy, it didn't disappoint.

I'm always a sucker for Pokémon that look cute or just look kind of fluffy in some way. And for Ninetales, it fits both. It's just an awesome, majestic fire fox- sorry, kitsune. And not only do I enjoy it normally, but its shiny is one I'm glad to be able to have very soon, as I hatched a shiny Vulpix in Y a couple months ago!

Puppies. I love puppies, and I love cats. And if it was real, I would love to own a Growlithe, because just look at it! It's so adorable! And Arcanine is majestic as well, almost like another counterpart to Ninetales and Rapidash. But yep, I do love the doggies, they're just so cute!

Cliché choice, I know, but I'm just a sucker for Eevee. This is one Pokémon I absolutely wish was real, as I would have one as a pet and I would give it all of the love ever! I sound weird, huh? Ah well, just can't beat that kind of cuteness. But I also love how its genetic makeup enables it to become so many different Pokémon.

Johto

There's nothing I need to say about Cyndaquil that I haven't said a million times in the past. This little guy is my all-time favorite Pokémon, and always will be.

Ampharos is a Pokémon that I only started to really like when I used it in Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD, but mainly in the latter. It's just.. weird, but I like the weird ones. I also just really love that, when it Mega Evolves, it gains majestic hair, which somehow grants it the Dragon-type, and probably a sponsorship to L'Oréal products.

Before Leafeon took its place, Umbreon used to be my favorite Eevee-lution. Pokémon Colosseum really helped me love Umbreon a lot, besides that Dark is my all-time favorite type. This Pokémon is also one of the favorites of my best friend Jake, so that also makes Umbreon mean a lot to me, like a symbol of the awesome friendship we share.

Skarmory is another one from Colosseum that made me really like it more than I already did. But Skarmory is the last member of my team from my Emerald Nuzlocke I did years ago, under the name of "Dovabird," and it demolished everything and tanked so many hits. Truly a great, and lucky, addition to that team, considering the rarity.

This is the ONLY Legendary Pokémon on this list, but thanks to Pokémon XD, it made me love and adore Lugia so much more, to the point that I always have to nickname it XD001 whenever I obtain it, and remains one of the very few Legendary Pokémon that I actually give a nickname to.

Hoenn

Even before the "Herd u like Mudkipz" meme, I loved this little axolotl. It's so cute and I love its admittedly derpy face. Plus, as it evolves, it gains a Ground typing, making, for example, Wattson a breeze to defeat, especially in ORAS, as Volt Switch can't even touch Marshtomp. I love Mudkip, and it's within my top 3 favorite starters.

So, true story, I never knew how to properly get Shedinja until Emerald, as whenever I tried to evolve Nincada, I either didn't have a spare ball or didn't have a spare slot in my party. The last time I went through Omega Ruby, I used Shedinja and it dominated so much, especially in Tate & Liza's Gym, as Surf couldn't touch it. It was so fun to use, even if it is a literal glass cannon.

This little goblin, my goodness. I don't know why, but Sableye has always stood out to me, and in a good way too. It was always there, standing out in the midst of everything. I always wanted to use one, and I just love its erratic movements, like in Colosseum/XD, or with it's ORAS Mega Evolution, where it has a cheeky, toothy grin on its face all the time.

Another member of the Emerald Nuzlocke, Camerupt was a machine that demolished Flannery and also brought my team some impressive victories. I called it "Piston," because his back sprite's humps reminded me of pistons. Not sure why, but the nickname stuck with me ever since. It's a great Pokémon with a cool Mega Evolution, even if Water does demolish it.

Milotic was always one of those Pokémon that I wanted, but could never have, as Feebas used to be nigh impossible to catch, until Black and White fixed that. White was the first time I got to use a Feebas, especially with the addition of using a Prism Scale to evolve it. And I was always impressed with Milotic. It's a beautiful Pokémon, and I love it a lot. No wonder it's Wallace's signature Pokémon.

Sinnoh

Chimchar is actually the LAST starter I used for my adventures in Diamond, but left the biggest impression on me. Its appearance in the anime wasn't a bad help, either. It just wants to be strong and loved. And even though I do love every Sinnoh final evolution, Infernape just barely beats Empoleon for me, but it's still a win over the evolution I thought was the coolest.

Another anime-inspired one, Pachirisu was too cute in the anime, but ironically it was AFTER I made a team with it in Y that I loved it, and other Pikachu-clones, a lot more. It was fast, strong, and could take some hits, so Pachirisu got my respect. And then after it was used to win Worlds a couple years back, even more respect.

Let's admit two things: 1. Everyone and their brother loves Luxray; and 2. It should have been Electric/Dark. But either way, this beast of a Pokémon is one I regret not using in my Diamond playthroughs, as I know it would have done serious damage, especially as a Luxio against Crasher Wake.

A contender for one of my favorite Pokémon ever, Drapion combines two of my favorite types: Dark and Poison. This makes it weak to Ground, of course, but it is immune to Psychic! And with Fairy type, it takes neutral damage, but can dish out super effective hits - unless you're Klefki or Mawile - but it still remains one of the best Pokémon in Sinnoh for me, hands down.

An often-forgotten Pokémon, Lumineon is one of the prettiest Pokémon out there, especially in the Water family. Had I known more about it in Diamond, I would have definitely used it as my Water type Pokémon, but that's okay, because I used it sometime recently, and it rocked! I was so happy to finally use it in a team, it was fun!

Unova

Ah, good ol' Smugleaf itself. But seriously, Snivy was my 2nd pick for Unova. I originally wanted Oshawott, but after an ex dumped me, with how much she also loved Oshawott, I decided it would remind me of her, so I took Snivy, and I have zero regrets for that choice, because Snivy reminds me of myself, at times. It has an uninterested face sometimes, and just looks impatient. It sort of reminds me of why I love Litten so much. But good ol' Snivy has always been an awesome Pokémon, and a wonderful addition to my journey through my now-2nd favorite region.

Another oft-forgotten Pokémon, Maractus is essentially as rare as Audino is in Black and White, but doesn't have the wonderful experience gain that Audino is good for. Despite that, I used Maractus in my very first EV-Trained team, and it did very well. I was very happy with it, and breeding for those egg moves was tedious, but so worth it.

Gigalith was unobtainable for me in my first run through the game, as I didn't have anybody to easily trade with, nor did I have another gen 5 game to be able to do it myself. But recently, when I played White again in June, I traded with my Black 2 and got Gigalith, and I was so happy to finally use this monster. It's hand-down one of my favorites of Unova, and I have quite a few of them.

So Scrafty was in my first White team, and it was fun to use. But Scrafty became more of a favorite after I discovered a YouTuber by the name of HoodlumScrafty, and he's one of my favorite 'Tubers. I don't know, he's just really funny and his content makes me laugh a lot, and I always enjoy his weird and silly Free-for-Alls (FFAs). So thanks, Callum, you helped me love Scrafty more than I did already!

Let's face it, Zoroark is a big reason we wanted Black and White. Besides being my favorite type and being my favorite colors, what's not to love about it? I love its ability and I love everything about it. Probably within my top 3 for Unova, hands down.

Kalos

I've only played Y once, because I finished the National Pokedex, and therefore I can never erase that file. I refuse to. But I wanted Froakie from the get-go, way before Greninja was even something we had a single clue about. It always looked so derpy and silly, and I thought nobody would pick it, honestly. But then nearly everyone took Froakie, so I didn't feel as unique anymore, but I don't regret picking my little bubble frog buddy.

It's a sword. Literally all that needed to be said before I was sold on Honedge. And once I grabbed it, I got it up to Aegislash, and the rest is history, as Aegislash tore through anything in its path. And its shiny is one of the best shines I've ever seen! It's awesome! Red, black and gold is a wonderful color combination.

Really, it's a huge excuse to call it Panda King, but Pangoro just looked too good to pass up when I first journeyed in Kalos. And it punched things. Very hard. Sadly, the original one I had was traded via GTS in order for me to obtain something I really needed, before Pokémon Bank happened. But that's okay, because I have another, and it punches even harder.

As much as I also love Amaura and Aurorus, nothing can beat a T-Rex with Strong Jaw. This monster pulverized everything in its path, as soon as I reached Clemont. And it chewed up everything it came across, except Fairy Pokémon, of course. But still, it wrecked everything!

Hands down, Dragalge made me want Skrelp, because before I saw this, I leaned towards Clauncher. But this amazing Poison/Dragon was quick to gain my attention, and I got a Skrelp as soon as humanly possible once I could fish for them, and this bad boy took on Valerie, almost all by itself, too.

Alola

I've talked a lot about Litten before, so I won't waste your time talking your... eyes off about it. But I can't wait to unleash all kinds of destruction once it becomes Incineroar!

Now knowing that my rock puppy is found as early as Ten Carat Hill, and at a low level, means I can find it early on. I can't wait to get it and have my Midday Lycanroc form. I loved this little guy ever since it was just Iwanko, shown alongside Komala, then only known as Nekkoala.

Lurantis is just really cute, and it got my undivided attention the moment it was revealed alongside Fomantis. I can't wait to grab one, and eventually face the Totem Lurantis during... Mallow's trial, I believe.

It's a sand castle, it absorbs the life force from Pokémon, then makes more Sandygast minions. This is the definition of creepy and messed up. I love it! It's weird and I just love the weird Pokémon, so this will be a fun one to use. Palossand will be a fun ally!

Type: Null and Silvally can't be in my first team anymore due to some spoilerific reasons, but I'll be sure to grab Type: Null the moment I can so I can use these amazing beasts and see their power!

And those are currently my favorite Pokémon from each region. I just want to say right now that the Animal Crossing blog post is postponed. I just had to send my grandma to the hospital earlier, so I'm really stressed out right now :( But I promise that I'll get it up soon enough. Until then, have a wonderful day/night, and I will see you later! :D
