So, the time has finally come to put an end to the Darker Lord and, hopefully, rescue Vinny from that blue eyeball creature. This will be the ending of the main story, before the postgame goodies. Know that there are some heavy plot spoilers inbound, so be careful if you're trying to avoid spoilers! For now, though, let's finish this!
So, when we finally enter the Sky Scraper, it's not long until we find Morshu, but his face was stolen and placed onto this phantom of the original Dark Lord! We quickly defeated this phantom so we could save Morshu!
Morshu holds much regret for his deeds as the Dark Lord, stating that everything he did wasn't by his own hand, but he could see everything the Dark Lord was doing while controlling his body. He joins our party and, while not strong, he holds an endless supply of HP Bananas in the event we need to chomp on one.
Not too far in, our party, you guess it, gets split up again, but not before Vinny informs us that we'll be having some fateful reunions very shortly. As we traveled onwards, we found King Jabba Hutt's face on a more powerful Golem than in the beginning of the game! We wasted no time in freeing the King's face from this Golem and saved him once again.
The other team, meanwhile, encountered Princess Temmie's face on a Gold General! We still quickly took it down and we made haste to reunite with our friends. Who knows what Vinny will throw at us next!
Aptly named, but more powerful than the last time we faced it, Pharaoh Ganon II was ready for us as we got higher up the Scraper. Using the same methods of cursing us as before, we had to be careful and make good use of the Safe Spot whenever possible. In the end, this Pharaoh was defeated once again, and the Genie was saved.
In one last-ditch effort to stop us, Vinny took the Fab Fairies' faces once again, pitting all 3 of them against us, but they were still no match, especially since the Tadpole enemies aren't that strong to begin with. After defeating them, the big frog was only a matter of wailing on it until it croaked (That was an awful pun, I apologize for that).
After reaching the top of the Sky Scraper, Vinny fled to the Otherworld, a realm in space. After a few easy battles on the way to Vinny, we finally reached him for the final battle. Using the power of all the faces he's been stealing, he transformed into one of Nintendo's numerous bosses that consist of a face and two detached hands (Andross anyone?). For this tough fight, we had to utilize the power of all 10 of us! 3 of us took on the left hand, and 3 of us took on the right hand. And then...
In a final attempt, Vinny uses all of his power to become a sun-like creature, the Darkest Lord! With his hands gone, it was up to our final 4 party members to finally put a stop to Vinny, once and for all! After a tough battle, and a few Big Bangs to put us near-death, Vinny was finally defeated once and for all!
Upon defeating Vinny, he managed to trap the eyeball creature this time, so nobody could be harmed. He then tells us of the Dark Curse, how it was just a normal person, but because he was lonely, due to nobody liking his face, he grew angry and isolated, before finally succumbing to the power of the curse and stealing everyones' faces, so that everybody could feel his pain. We're given two choices, a choice to dispel the curse forever, or save the Mii from the curse. We saved the Mii, giving him a new face and his body back, and with that, the world was at peace, and Miitopia was finally saved!
That's the end of the main story of Miitopia. I still have more snapshots, but it's all from postgame stuff. I'll probably do a few more parts, but the bulk of the game is done at this point.
