Late Post? I Blame Nostalgia

Yeah, I really dropped the ball today because I'm surprisingly super hooked on Pokémon Red. I forgot how much fun it was. As of right this moment I'm in Cinnabar's Pokémon Mansion, about to explore and get the Secret Key in order to enter Cinnabar Gym. Since my team is more than ready for anything, I'll be finishing this in a matter of a couple hours at most, then I'll be starting the Fire Emblem Fates Randomizer, with the first run being in Birthright so I can see how it goes. Tomorrow I'll do a better post, I promise. I'm sorry I keep doing late posts lately, I don't mean to! D:

One Down, Two to Go

So I finished the Awakening Randomizer a couple days ago and I'm now enjoying Pokémon Red for the first time in so long. I haven't played the old game since I had it on GameBoy alongside Blue and Yellow, but I lost them forever ago and I don't ever remember where they were. But that's okay, because now I can relive the fun on the 3DS Virtual Console. After I've finished with Pokémon, I'm most likely going to jump back into Fire Emblem, and I'll finally tackle Fates and attempt this Randomizer that I thought up. I'll start with Birthright, since I own that version and since it'll generally be easier to tackle, especially with only approximately half the playable cast. After that, probably another break, then I'll tackle it again, but I'll do Revelations, as I've actually not gotten far into it and have yet to finish it, despite getting it months and months ago. But hey, I'll finally get there, huh? I can't wait, honestly, because I think I enjoy Fates more than I enjoy Awakening. I'll probably do a post on my Pokémon Red team when I finish it, but we'll see what happens.

Another Off Day, Fun

I just got home from helping my grandma with some shopping, so I apologize for this really late post. And I'm sorry to say today's just another off day. Sorry, again, I know I do this too often, but I didn't mean for it to be another dumb off day. See you tomorrow.

Fire Emblem: Something Silly

Have you ever noticed when some people talk about Fire Emblem, they say stuff like, "Oh, character isn't all that strong," or something like, "Oh, don't ever use character, he/she sucks!" It's kind of funny because in almost all cases, that's not true.

In most cases, every single character has the potential to become ridiculously powerful - but I'm going to exclude Sacred Stones, Awakening, and Fates, since you have the ability to endlessly level up and grind until your units are super strong. I want to use an age-old topic I used to see way back when Radiant Dawn came out. I'm going to talk about Meg and Fiona, and their potential.

So, those who have played Radiant Dawn probably groan in boredom when they have to play the Dawn Brigade chapters, especially in part 3 right after controlling Ike's powerful forces. About halfway through part 1, you can recruit Meg, a Sword Knight (or as the game puts it, Armor Sword) who, like other first-tier classes early in the game, is kind of weak, but the chapter she joins is a nice way to give her some exp. Now, she has odd stat growths and low-ish base stats for an armored unit, and joins at level 3, and of course has to fight with the Dawn Brigade units for that juicy experience, but in the 7 times I've played and beaten Radiant Dawn, Meg has consistently been a contender for my Endgame team. She's got a lot more potential than most people seem to notice.

In the chapter she joins in, there are Laguz units, but due to her nice starting defense of 10, she can easily take most hits from the Cats, and maybe a few from the Lions. And since she's generally available in every Dawn Brigade chapter after you get her, she has some pretty good availability. If you can promote her to a Sword General, she starts really demolishing foes, and if you get her to the final rank of Marshall, she can tear enemies apart, effortlessly. I've given her the honor of taking Alondite any time she's brought into Endgame with me, and she does not fail to deliver. That's one example of a weak character who can become something more.

Now.. Fiona, on the other hand, requires some babying, but she CAN be strong. In my last playthrough, I managed to get her to be a Silver Knight, brought her into the tower with me, gave her the Wishblade, and she was a wonderful unit! She just has extremely poor availability in part 1, only being playable in 2 chapters. with the 2nd chapter being part 1's Endgame. If you utilize some bonus exp early on and do some hefty boss abuse with her in chapter 7, using a forged lance that makes her more likely to land hits, she can slowly rise to near level 20 before that lance breaks. But after her promotions and putting tons of effort into her, I can say I was definitely not disappointed. Harder to raise than Meg, by a long shot, but worth the effort in the end.

I really don't know why I wrote this or where I'm going with it, but I just wanted to share something silly while I had Fire Emblem on the mind. I'm a few chapters from finishing Awakening, then I can take a nice FE break before I do the first attempt at a Fates Randomizer Run, using the method I made up some time ago.

Fire Emblem Off Day

So, I'm relentlessly working on my current run through my Fire Emblem Awakening Randomizer, and currently I'm slowly recruiting the future children. As I always do, I max out the parents and set their skills, then recruit the child in their Paralogue, then work on them, and on and on. If I'm lucky, I can have this finished tomorrow, so I'm really hoping! I'm posting silly pictures on the Twitter if I find something funny while I'm going through the Randomizer Run. Sorry in advance, but I'll see you tomorrow!

Late Poll Results

I know I'm, like, 3 days late, due to the trophy guide and wanting to put up more Miitopia stuff, but it's definitely clear what guide is coming next. I already know, obviously, but you guys don't, since you voted for me to surprise you all. So, this next guide, in typical 2-week fashion, will be up on October 5th. You'll learn what game it is on the 4th.

47 won by an initial landslide, until 68 started to grab some votes, while 36 got no love whatsoever. Either way, the winner of this poll is 47, and so you'll be seeing platinum 47 turned into a guide in 2 weeks, so thanks again for voting, I appreciate the support!

Miitopia Snapshots Part 6: Endgame

So, the time has finally come to put an end to the Darker Lord and, hopefully, rescue Vinny from that blue eyeball creature. This will be the ending of the main story, before the postgame goodies. Know that there are some heavy plot spoilers inbound, so be careful if you're trying to avoid spoilers! For now, though, let's finish this!

So, when we finally enter the Sky Scraper, it's not long until we find Morshu, but his face was stolen and placed onto this phantom of the original Dark Lord! We quickly defeated this phantom so we could save Morshu!

Morshu holds much regret for his deeds as the Dark Lord, stating that everything he did wasn't by his own hand, but he could see everything the Dark Lord was doing while controlling his body. He joins our party and, while not strong, he holds an endless supply of HP Bananas in the event we need to chomp on one.

Not too far in, our party, you guess it, gets split up again, but not before Vinny informs us that we'll be having some fateful reunions very shortly. As we traveled onwards, we found King Jabba Hutt's face on a more powerful Golem than in the beginning of the game! We wasted no time in freeing the King's face from this Golem and saved him once again.

The other team, meanwhile, encountered Princess Temmie's face on a Gold General! We still quickly took it down and we made haste to reunite with our friends. Who knows what Vinny will throw at us next!

Aptly named, but more powerful than the last time we faced it, Pharaoh Ganon II was ready for us as we got higher up the Scraper. Using the same methods of cursing us as before, we had to be careful and make good use of the Safe Spot whenever possible. In the end, this Pharaoh was defeated once again, and the Genie was saved.

In one last-ditch effort to stop us, Vinny took the Fab Fairies' faces once again, pitting all 3 of them against us, but they were still no match, especially since the Tadpole enemies aren't that strong to begin with. After defeating them, the big frog was only a matter of wailing on it until it croaked (That was an awful pun, I apologize for that).

After reaching the top of the Sky Scraper, Vinny fled to the Otherworld, a realm in space. After a few easy battles on the way to Vinny, we finally reached him for the final battle. Using the power of all the faces he's been stealing, he transformed into one of Nintendo's numerous bosses that consist of a face and two detached hands (Andross anyone?). For this tough fight, we had to utilize the power of all 10 of us! 3 of us took on the left hand, and 3 of us took on the right hand. And then...

In a final attempt, Vinny uses all of his power to become a sun-like creature, the Darkest Lord! With his hands gone, it was up to our final 4 party members to finally put a stop to Vinny, once and for all! After a tough battle, and a few Big Bangs to put us near-death, Vinny was finally defeated once and for all!

Upon defeating Vinny, he managed to trap the eyeball creature this time, so nobody could be harmed. He then tells us of the Dark Curse, how it was just a normal person, but because he was lonely, due to nobody liking his face, he grew angry and isolated, before finally succumbing to the power of the curse and stealing everyones' faces, so that everybody could feel his pain. We're given two choices, a choice to dispel the curse forever, or save the Mii from the curse. We saved the Mii, giving him a new face and his body back, and with that, the world was at peace, and Miitopia was finally saved!

That's the end of the main story of Miitopia. I still have more snapshots, but it's all from postgame stuff. I'll probably do a few more parts, but the bulk of the game is done at this point. Thanks so much for reading and for liking the silly pictures of this silly game. At some point, expect a post dedicated entirely to the game, where I'll talk about it in full.

Have a nice day!~

Miitopia Snapshots Part 5: Beyond Karkaton

So, now that Vinny has become the Darker Lord, we have to give chase! But where did he go? Well, from Karkaton, we move to the Travelers' Hub in an effort to find out some information about where he might have gone. There's not a moment to lose!

Not too sure about where the Minion Pig comes from, but nonetheless, he's our guide in the Travelers' Hub, telling us to talk to the people and see if they know anything. Later on, he can tell us how complete our medal collection is.

So upon just simply looking around, I found Thor. Seems he's become a Cleric now instead of being an Avenger. He gives us a quest to explore one of the new areas available to us, so we took it on easily with him.

Seems like Zuko isn't a Firebender anymore, unless cooking counts as using Firebending. Anyways, he has an exclamation mark over him, and asked us to travel to Peculia, just to get further in and discover a hamburger, and maybe find out some info about Vinny. So, we traveled there and encountered some mighty-peculiar enemies.

A photo taken by Pooh Bear, he captured a fine moment where Jess was being eaten by this Hamburger and we're trying to free her. The "Come on, people!" is especially silly, but that's okay, we saved her and completed Zuko's task.

Someone asked us to enter this new place called Nimbus to find their friend, who happens to be Starfire. This person tells us that she may know something about Vinny, so we didn't have a moment to lose. Upon reaching Nimbus, we trekked through the clouds until we found her, but Starfire's face had been taken by this UFO!

Yet another Pooh Bear moment, he captured the most frustrating part about UFO enemies: They steal your HP Bananas, and man is it annoying! As you can tell, we were all Hyper, so we could thrash this UFO asap, and we did, and got some info from Starfire.

So, we located Vinny's castle, the Sky Scraper, but the entrance required 4 jewels to fit into a face. One is shaped like a mouth, one a nose, and two eyes. We went back to the Hub and we talked to Piplup first, based on level. She was looking for her dog, so we went back to Peculia in a new section to find him. We found him, alright, the sleepy-time wisp stole her face! We destroyed the wisp and the puppy was unharmed. After helping her, she gave us one of the jewels we needed!

In a silly twist, we found Cthulu - oh wait, I guess I mean Cthulhu, asking us to help him get into a new area within Nimbus. We made it inside and his face was placed onto this robot! We swiftly defeated it and got his face back, and we claimed another of the jewels we needed.

We did a quest before this one, which didn't have a boss for me to take a picture of, and we got the next jewel. Finally, someone asked us to find their friend Zombie within the Powdered Peaks. We found him, and his face was attached to an Ice Queen! We took her down, saved Zombie, and we claimed the final jewel! Hope you're ready, Vinny, because we're coming to defeat you!

And that's all for this section. Individually it would be too many posts with very little shots, so I put it all into one. Next time, we're going to enter the Sky Scraper and defeat Vinny! See you tomorrow!

Have a nice day!~

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon: Surf's Up!

So, we got a new short trailer for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon today but I'm so hyped about it that I'm just going to let that be today's blog post! Sorry if you were ready for more Miitopia stuff, but don't worry, it'll still be coming. Firstly, let me just link the video here.

So, let me just briefly go through the video in each chunk. It's probably going to look a bit sloppy, so I'm sorry in advance, but here we go!

So, the first thing we get shown is that the Island Challenge is back, much to the dismay of every fan who had theories on the gyms in those big, empty spaces on each island. Sorry guys, Island Trial is still Alola's thing, but I loved it, I can't wait to go through it again. It first shows the hero entering Ilima's trial, but then cuts to what looks like Lush Jungle, with a bunch of Sudowoodo in it. Next, we see a scene where Togedemaru is with a group of Charjabug, before it cuts to a scene with a robotic Vikavolt breaking free of some wires. Next, it shows Acerola by a door, looking distressed as a dialogue box reads, "Get out. Get out! Get OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT!!!" I wonder if that's the Mimikyu from her trial in Sun and Moon. Only time will tell from here, though. Next, it shows the Totem Lurantis appearing behind the male hero before it cuts to a new trial, from the last captain, Mina. If you remember from Sun and Moon, she didn't really have a trial, and you simply went into Vast Poni Canyon, defeated the Jangmo-o family, and claimed the Z-Crystal. But it only shows that we can battle her, and she has 3 Pokémon. Is this her trial? Or do we face the Captains at some point in the trials this time? Again, only time will tell.

Next, it cuts to a couple short scenes with Lillie and Hau. However, Lillie's concept art is her "Z-Powered" look from after some plot-heavy points within the Aether Foundation prior to going to Poni Island. Does this mean that maybe she'll get Pokémon and battle? Too much to speculate, but it's still exciting all the same. Her scene mentions wanting to be strong like the hero, strong enough to face any trial, and Hau's scene has him speaking to the player, stating, "I know you want to win... And I'm gonna make sure that happens!"

Next, we're told that more than 400 Pokémon will be appearing, meaning that we have, at least, 100 more Pokémon for our Alola Dex, unless they decide to give us the National Dex this time. They quickly go through the following Pokémon in the wild: Tropius, Larvesta, Mareep, Larvitar, and Zorua. It then states that Houndoom will be exclusive to Ultra Sun, and Manectric is exclusive to Ultra Moon.

Next, we get a little showcase of the Alola Photo Club, a building you can enter in some town/city that lets you take pictures with your Pokémon, pose them, and all sorts of silly things. It's kind of like a ramped-up version of the Poké Finder from Sun and Moon. It's cute though, because some people would really enjoy doing stuff like that, so more power to 'em, I say.

And finally, probably the coolest part, we can now use Mantine as a Pokémon in the Poké Ride section, and we use it to actually surf between islands! And, to make it even more fun, it shows you can fly up into the air and do tricks, for points! Doing tricks and stuff aside, this is something I wish we could have done in Sun and Moon, just casually surf between the islands, even though using Charizard Glide was still probably the better option. All the same, this looks amazing and I can't wait to, well, get my Surf on.

Hard to believe this game comes out in 2 months, but man I sure can't wait to get my hands on it on my birthday, is possible! This game looks so awesome!

Sonic Unleashed Trophy Guide

Welcome to the trophy guide for Sonic Unleashed! I won't sugarcoat it, this is going to be a difficult list, even for veteran/seasoned Sonic players. If you're prone to being easily frustrated by constant deaths or a handful of difficult challenges, all in the name of 100% completion, I would suggest you don't attempt this trophy list. But if you're serious about trying, then read on, and hopefully I can offer some guidance!
100% Clear This is the platinum trophy and is unlocked automatically when all the trophies have been unlocked.
As always, you know the drill. However, if you earn this, you deserve not only a break from your games, but you deserve some sleep and maybe even some chocolate. Chip would insist.

Still Broken Restored the first continent.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Looking Better Restored the second continent.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Still a Jigsaw Puzzle Restored the third continent.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Picking Up the Pieces Restored the fourth continent.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Almost There Restored the fifth continent.
Story-related, can't be missed.

One More to Go Restored the sixth continent.
Story-related, can't be missed.

World Savior Cleared the game.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Partly Cloudy Collected half of the Sun Medals.
See Full Moon.

Sunny Collected all Sun Medals.
See Full Moon.

Half Moon Collected half of the Moon Medals.
See Full Moon.

Full Moon Collected all Moon Medals.
Now, while Partly Cloudy and Half Moon are TECHNICALLY impossible to miss (You need 120 of each Medal, bare minimum, to complete the game), you're going to want to maybe save this for last, since it's less stressful than everything else. If you'd like a good set of video guides, look by the top of this post for a link to the videos that I followed. They were extremely helpful and all I had to do was simply follow them where they went. Some of these Medals are insane, honestly, but by the time I started actively hunting for the Medals, I had less than 50 Sun and less than 70 Moon Medals to go, but I did look everywhere I could in the hubs and Night levels, and happened to collect a pretty generous amount in the Day levels.

Blue Streak Upgraded all of Sonic the Hedgehog's stats to their maximum levels.
This can be done early enough if you have patience to spare. You can do this in one of two ways. You can play normally, and defeat every enemy as you go along, and eat every new food item you see, to obtain more exp. This also means using the mass amounts of exp gained from the Werehog stages, in which you always get a lot of levels, and if you decide to use the Quick-Time Events against weakened enemies, they drop more exp than mormal. Be sure to especially use them on the Titan enemies too!

The other way is via a glitch. When you reach Chun-nan's Entrance Stage during the day, you'll have to Wall Jump up to the Boost Shoes to utilize the Boost Dash and reach the Day stage. You'll see a small circle of rings that will regenerate, so that you actually can always use the Boost Dash in case you mess up. Move back from them until the camera shifts a bit, then align Sonic so he's facing them, preferably going straight up. Tap Square (Or X if you're playing on Xbox) to boost into the rings and hit the wall. Then walk into the spots where the rings were. You can now endlessly pick up rings from that circle, even if they're not there. It may take an additional attempt or two but it's certainly not difficult to pull off. You have to be constantly moving to obtain more rings, which means you have to pretty much wiggle the analog stick around and make him fidget a bit, so you can't just sit there, unless you want to gain like.. 1 ring every 3-5 seconds. This is a great way to quickly build up rings to buy things. You can then buy Chili Dogs at Chun-nan's store for 50 rings apiece. 5,000 Rings can get you 100 Chili Dogs. Each gives you 30 exp, and every 100 exp is one level to use. By doing this, you can gain 30 levels to dump into your abilities. But if you plan on working on the hot dog missions and such, you're probably not going to need to do this unless you just want money, as the Werehog stages you constantly play can rack up exp very quickly. You're going to need it for Power Overwhelming.

Power Overwhelming Upgraded all of Sonic the Werehog's stats to their maximum levels.
See Blue Streak for the same details.

Getting the Hang of Things Achieved an S Rank with Sonic the hedgehog for the first time.
Mainly, you just want to go fast. Try to beat a stage as fast as you can to get the S Rank. If you want to wait, then max out Sonic's stats, then go for Speeding Ticket down below. Beating that time alone should easily get you the S Rank. Just keep boosting, don't die, and getting rings!

Creature of the Night Achieved an S Rank with Sonic the Werehog for the first time.
Smash everything. These stages are designed to take longer than Day stages, so smash everything, beat up every enemy, and if they give you a prompt to do a Quick-Time Event (Indicated with the Circle button appearing by your Life bar, along with a small sound) then make sure you do it, especially against the giant monsters. The fat monsters give you 20,000 points for the QTE and the Titan enemies give you 40,000! It shouldn't be hard to get this taken care of easily.

Helping Hand Completed all missions for a townsperson.
Many people have missions for you through the game. Some even give have a Medal in their stage, so you're going to have to take care of most of them. The easiest way to do this is to receive the camera from Professor Pickle, then head to Apotos at night. Talk to the Ice Cream Vendor, then hit Triangle to exorcise him. Complete the quick battle mission and you're done. If you're diligent in talking to everyone all the time, you can potentially obtain this trophy before that opportunity arises.

Lay the Smackdown Have mastered the Stomp technique.
In Holoska's Entrance Stage, it shows you a pair of shoes near a big switch you maybe have already seen in Spagonia's Entrance Stage. Pick them up, then use them on the Switch. The trophy pops shortly after.

Wall Crawler Have mastered the Wall Jump technique.
Back in Spagonia, after hitting the big switch and getting over the wall you couldn't go under, due to the laser, you'll see a short scene to show you new shoes. Collect them, then immediately use them in the area that previously had lasers. You'll grab the trophy shortly after you Wall Jump.

Airdevil Have mastered the Air Boost technique.
Next, in Chun-nan's Entrance Stage, you'll quickly find a spot to Wall Jump to reach more shoes. Collect these, then walk towards the cliff, where Chip will point out a spot in the distance indicated with 5 Rainbow Rings, asking how you'd possibly get there. Align yourself with the rings, then take a running jump. A prompt will tell you to hit Square, and you'll boost into the rings, letting you safely access the Day stage, and getting you this trophy.

Hyperdrive Have mastered the Lightspeed Dash technique.
Finally, in Shamar's Entrance Stage, it'll show you the last pair of shoes. Take a path around in the back of the area by the Night Stage portal and do an Air Boost into the rings, then carefully climb the steps. You'll grab the shoes, then immediately use them to reach the Day stage by hitting Triangle near the line of rings.

Basher Have attained Combat Level 5.
See Thrasher.

Smasher Have attained Combat Level 10.
See Thrasher.

Crasher Have attained Combat Level 15.
See Thrasher.

Thrasher Have attained Combat Level 20.
Combat Level dictates, essentially, the range of combos you can do, and the higher your Combat Level, the more combos you can do, which is especially necessary for quickly taking down groups of enemies when you're up against the clock for the hot dog missions (Although even the level 3 Time Trials are pretty generous) and are very handy for the Survival missions where you're unable to heal! Since the Combat Level goes beyond 20, you'll be getting this on your way towards Power Overwhelming.

Social Butterfly Talked to all townspeople.
In every hub, there are people to talk to. Some offer missions, so you're going to need to speak to everyone anyway. Note that every Don Fachio's hot dog employees count as entries in the Directory, so you have to speak to all of them at least once! And Wentos is the final entry, so you have to speak to him at least once as well. See First Time Customer for details on Wentos. Use the Directory in Professor Pickle's lab to keep track of your progress. You know you have them all if no numbers are skipped between a continent's first character and the Don Fachio's, as the hot dog stand employees are ALWAYS the final entry for a continent!

Hungry Hungry Hedgehog Got every type of food.
This might seem daunting, but here's a nifty way to ensure you know you have everything. Each time you enter a new area, go to their shop if you can and buy whatever you can. You only need to have the food in your inventory at some point, you don't have to eat everything (But you should, for the exp, and for BFFs down below!). If it says "New," buy it. It will say "New" until you buy the item, so that's a way to keep track. If nothing says "New," then you're all set. Wentos also has food items exclusive to him, so make sure you talk with him at every opportunity you get.

Ace Pilot Cleared Act 1 of Tornado Defense without taking damage.
This means the Tornado Defense in which Sonic and Tails travel from Apotos to Spagonia early on in the game. Tornado Defense is, essentially, one large QTE. Each enemy you see will have either X, Circle, Triangle, or Square under them. You need to hit them by using the button corresponding to them, or you risk taking damage. Just take your time, even pausing if you have to take a second to get yourself ready. Just don't start mashing buttons or you'll lose energy quickly. If you fail to get the trophy, you can access this stage in Spagonia's Entrance Stage whenever you want to try again.

Day Tripper Cleared all Sonic the Hedgehog stages.
This included all Day stages that you don't play in the Story. Every Entrance Stage has an Act 2 for Sonic, and some have an Act 3 as well. These additional stages are typically very, very short, and only have 3 Medals, usually 1 of one Medal, and 2 of the other. Clear every stage, no matter the Rank, and this is yours. And don't worry, Eggmanland doesn't have any additional levels, thank goodness.

Hard Day's Night Cleared all Sonic the Werehog stages.
A little easier than Day Tripper in my opinion, as I enjoy Werehog stages as you can just take your time. Only Apotos, Mazuri, Chun-nan, and Adabat have an additional Night stage, so that's not too bad. Although.. you might want to steel yourself for Chun-nan's Night stage. Why? Well.. let me just say that if you don't like the balancing sections, and you surely don't want to have LESS control over yourself, you're going to HATE it.

Get on the Exorcise Bandwagon Exorcised everyone.
After obtaining the camera from Professor Pickle, you can exorcise certain people at night in the hub areas. One of them happens automatically to give you a tutorial, essentially. Every hub has ONE person to exorcise, except Apotos and Spagonia, which have 3 and 2, respectively. You can tell they need an exorcism as they will have these magenta wisps emitting from them after talking to them. They will also appear completely different than how they are during the day. For example, the Ice Cream Vendor, as you see in a cutscene early on, is super happy with his ice cream during the day, but at night he gains a very defeatist attitude about it, and you can even see the wisps emitting from him. When you run out of flashes for the camera, talk to Professor Pickle at his lab and he'll restore them for you. If you're diligent, you'll get this trophy when you can exorcise the last person in Adabat.

Gyro with Relish Cleared all hot dog stand missions in Apotos.
See Hard Boiled.

Pig in a Blanket Cleared all hot dog stand missions in Spagonia.
See Hard Boiled.

Exotic Toppings Cleared all hot dog stand missions in Mazuri.
See Hard Boiled.

Sausage Fried Rice Cleared all hot dog stand missions in Chun-nan.
See Hard Boiled.

Iced Hotdog Cleared all hot dog stand missions in Holoska.
See Hard Boiled.

Kebab on a Bun Cleared all hot dog stand missions in Shamar.
See Hard Boiled.

Ketchup and Mustard Cleared all hot dog stand missions in Empire City.
See Hard Boiled.

Fried Clam Roll Cleared all hot dog stand missions in Adabat.
See Hard Boiled.

Hard Boiled Cleared all hot dog stand missions in Eggmanland.
Oh boy, these are going to give you stress like you've never seen in a Sonic game before. This will make Sonic 06 look like it's the most fun game you've ever played. After restoring a continent, the hot dog vendors will appear. You need to speak to them for Social Butterfly, and must complete at least ONE of their missions to get their hot dogs, needed for Hungry Hungry Hedgehog. Every area, save for Eggmanland, has 5 total mission types. The Day missions consist of Time Trials, Ring Attacks, and Enemy-Defeating, all with levels 1-3. Level 1 costs 10 rings, then 20 for Level 2, then 30 for Level 3. The Night stages have the Time Trials and a Survival Challenge, in which you must beat the stage without being able to heal, and each level making you start with less Life than the last.

Needless to say, these missions are best done with Sonic and Werehog maxed out completely. These missions WILL be difficult and WILL take time to complete, so expect to spend hours just trying to get these done! Eggmanland only has Time Trials, thankfully, and the times are EXTREMELY generous (75 minutes, then 65, then 45), which means you really just have to beat the stage each time. ALSO NOTE THAT YOU HAVE TO FINISH THESE CHALLENGES WITHOUT DYING OR YOU HAVE TO START THE STAGE FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!!! Nothing sucks more than reaching the very end of a rough challenge, then messing up, dying, and starting from the beginning... *glances at Eggmanland and shudders*

There's a few hints I want to point out to help you through these missions, mainly for the Time Trials, though. For starters, on the Day stages, know your route. I'm not ashamed to say I looked for videos on YouTube to find fast times for a majority of the later stages, especially Empire City and ESPECIALLY Adabat, as Adabat is a long stage and it's super easy to die. What I did was I watched videos in pieces, pausing a little ways through to replicate what I just saw, and soon, after managing to pull it off, it became second nature, which is how I managed to easily take on Shamar, Empire City, Adabat, and especially Eggmanland, but there's more about specifically Eggmanland a bit below the advice.

For night stages, it's a bit easier. If your path isn't blocked by enemies you have to defeat, then ignore them. Remember to watch your footing and be careful with your jumps, especially with Chun-nan and Empire City. Also be sure to be extremely careful in all of the balancing sections, and just move slowly so that you don't fall off and die. In the cases of Empire City, where your jumps will be terrifying, take your time and breathe. When fighting a Titan, use Unleash Mode to destroy its health bar, enough to reach the QTE to instantly defeat it, or just continue wailing on it. Make sure you watch for when a Titan crouches in preparation for a huge stomp, especially in Empire City, as getting hit by a shockwave can easily fling you off the rooftops for an unavoidable death, and frustration from starting the stage from the beginning.

Specifically for Eggmanland, the key is to remember that the Time Trials are very generous. It's more than possible to complete the stage in less than 75, 65, and 45 minutes. Besides that, when you reach the bobsled section, beware the final laser jump, because if you jump too soon, you'll accidentally hit the laser, and the bounce from that hit will end up propelling you to your death. Upon reaching the platform with that last jump, wait a second and align yourself in the middle as best you can before making that jump and hitting the dash panels. The other key is to be very careful and take the Werehog sections slowly! There are plenty of dangerous jumps and pits in the Werehog sections, especially the balancing parts. Just take it slowly and try to stay in the middle of each pipe you walk on. Just before the final Werehog section, you can take a 5-7 minute shortcut by moving over to the right and wall-jumping up to a long tube that will bring you to a hidden room.

All in all, just be careful and slowly learn the levels. Don't be afraid to use videos as a reference for your attempts at the hotdog missions!

First Time Customer Bought a product from Wentos.
Wentos is necessary for some trophies. You'll know him when you see him, he stands out from everyone in the area, wears deep forest green clothes, and has a Chao puppet on his right hand. You have to find him a few times to start buying from him. Don't start hunting him down until you can access the whole world, first. If you see him, speak to him. He carries unique food and souvenirs exclusive to his shop, which changes stock and prices each time you find him. But here's some good news. Every time he moves to a new place, he stays until you speak to him. So, for example, if he moves to Shamar, he will not leave Shamar until you speak to him there. This saves you from wondering if he always moves when you move to a new place.

Oh, You Shouldn't Have! Gave a souvenir to the Professor.
See That's Enough, Seriously.

That's Enough, Seriously Gave all souvenirs to the Professor.
Believe it or not, giving souvenirs to the Professor is mandatory if you're trying to get all of the Medals, as he has a total of 18 to give you for giving him souvenirs. Each continent has 5 souvenirs, with one of them being held by Wentos randomly. Each time you enter a new area, buy what you can. And check back from time to time to get new ones. Note that Wentos doesn't appear in Eggmanland, but you can buy all the souvenirs from there as soon as you can go to the hub in post-game.

Hedgehunk Cleared the Louie Montaine missions in Empire City and the Ana missions in Mazuri.
To start Louie's missions, you have to clear Empire City's Day and Night stages (Not the additional ones, just Act 1 of each) to begin his missions. Just talk to him during the day and during the night to get them done. I don't know what triggers Ana's, as I talked to her once and she was raring to go, so.. just check into Mazuri every so often and talk to everyone, of course. After clearing both, in any order, you have this trophy.

I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost Cleared the Marcantonio missions in Spagonia.
I don't know what triggers the Spagonia mission, but when you see Marcantonio near the Entrance Stage gate, you can undertake a very fast Day mission to tag some ghosts. Later, when you reach Adabat, you can talk to him at night to do another fast Night mission to grab the ghosts again. After that, this trophy is yours. Also, I'm liking the smooth Ghostbusters reference in the title there.

BFFs Became best friends with Chip.
When you eat food, you can give it to Sonic for exp, or give it to Chip. An easy way to farm this is to go to Apotos and buy a Sundae Supreme, which Chip loves. Buy a bunch and feed them to him to quickly raise his invisible affinity level. When he starts giving you more dialogue than just food reviews, you'll have this. It didn't take very long to get this when I gave him Sundae Supremes, so it won't take long for you either.

Speeding Ticket Reached the Goal of Arid Sands, Act 1 as Sonic within 2'50".
This will be tough, I won't lie, but with enough practice, you can easily get it done. Took some practice but now I can do it very easily. When I got this trophy, my time was about 2'40" so I had 10 seconds to spare. In a video I followed, the person was faster than me by 7 seconds, so it's not impossible.

Combo King Achieved 10,000 total combos.
Now, don't be fooled by the sort-of-misleading flavor text. This doesn't mean 10,00 individual combos. Let's say you do a nice combo on a group of enemies, and it says "50 Hit Combo" before it vanishes. Well, that means your total is now "50/10,000." Now, this seems like a huge amount, but I got it without even trying. It just randomly popped for me while I was doing hot dog missions, so it counts pretty fast. And considering all of the combat you do at night, this won't be too hard to get.

Ring Leader Collected 5,000 total rings.
Pretty much impossible to miss. Rings are counted even if you die, and if you do the ring grinding method listed above, you'll find it very hard to miss this. Just keep on grabbin' rings.

Knockout Brawler Defeated 1,000 enemies.
Again, not even possible to miss if you're doing missions and fighting enemies constantly. Note that this counts enemies defeated in Day stages as well, because it popped while I was doing a Day stage!

Blue Meteor Reached the Goal of Windmill Isle, Act 2 as Sonic within 2'35".
It's funny, I mistook this for 2'30" so I kept trying to beat it in less than that, despite the amount of times I could have easily gotten it if I remembered right. This is a short stage, so it's not hard to grab this trophy.

That's it for this wicked trophy guide. I really hope that if you attempt this trophy list, that maybe this guide will help you out or help you get more of the trophies you might have been missing. I hope you succeed and thank you for reading all the way through!

*This game took me a total of 4 days and 1 hour to complete, from my first trophy to the platinum. My first trophy was "Blue Meteor" which was achieved on August 5th, 2017 at 2:36 AM. My final trophy was "Hard Day's Night" which was achieved on August 9th, 2017 at 3:47 AM, along with the platinum, "100% Clear." This platinum trophy is the 64th platinum trophy I have received.*

Sonic Unleashed

So, this is sort of a silly and weird thing for me, as I've played both versions of this game, and both games are pretty different, besides having the same story, setting, characters, etc. The difference may be night and day, according to the game, but the real differences are the graphics, engine, and gameplay. Even though this will generally be about the PS3/Xbox 360 version, let me address the Wii version first.

The Wii version is definitely a more watered-down version, but if you're not into collecting a ton of things to progress the game and want to simply play it and enjoy it, the Wii version is actually the easier version, in my opinion. Sure, the graphics aren't the best, but I don't really care about what graphics look better, so long as the game plays well. I definitely enjoyed the ability to plug in a GameCube controller and use it, as it felt easier to use, especially coming off of Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog before this. While it might not be the platform of choice, I can still say that I got a lot of enjoyment out of the Wii version, and had no problem collecting Sun and Moon medals through S-Ranking stages, which opened up more doors in the Gaia Gates, giving more bonus content, especially in the form of extra permanent lives for those trickier stages.

Now for the HD version, as people generally call it. It's a lot faster, and it plays a little more like modern Sonic games, such as Sonic Colors or Sonic Generations - at least in the day stages with a Boost Gauge. The levels feel bigger and, true to how Sonic should be, it's pretty fast at times. I like the idea of gaining experience points from enemies and from eating food gained in the hub areas to make yourself faster or stronger, and it's just overall fun. Collecting Sun and Moon medals, however, becomes a bit more tricky, but it's easily handled with guides if you really get stuck.

I enjoy exploring the small hub areas that, in the Wii version, were only boiled down to simply selecting an area and talking to whomever is there, instead of actually walking around. I like the prospect of purchasing food items to gain exp and to become better friends with Chip, and even unlock a few silly bonus videos involving Sonic and Chip on their travels.

On the opposite side, the hotdog missions, while optional, are.. very nightmare-ish, at times. Some are pretty easy and simple, while some are.. very difficult. Seriously, don't even get me started on Eggmanland's missions, and definitely don't get me started on a certain Chun-nan stage which, while not a hotdog mission, is still ridiculous due to balance-walking WHILE carrying an object and having less control. It gets pretty frustrating. But, it's all doable, and I still love everything there is in the game.

That's it for Sonic Unleashed. Another Sonic game that generally gets panned, this time mainly due to the Werehog stages and the change of pace, and probably some gripes about the story as well, I bet. But all the same, both versions are still worth the time and effort, especially if you're a Sonic fan like me, or if you enjoy Sonic games in general. I'll see you all tomorrow for the trophy guide.

Miitopia Snapshots Part 4: Karkaton

So, we've finally gone to Karkaton, a volcanic area where the Dark Lord resides. Today we'll be taking a look at a few events significant before we find him, and then events when we do find him. Be warned as this part will ESPECIALLY HAVE SOME SERIOUS PLOT SPOILERS!! So take warning before looking, because I'd hate to have people get spoiled because they didn't pay attention to the text before the picture spam. Anyways, we have a Dark Lord to chase, let's get him!

So, we find the Great Sage in a place after our friends were stolen for the 3rd time, but my class wasn't changed, so right now I'm still a Tank. After finding Vinny, I found my Flower, Pop Star, and Chef... without their faces! It turns out that Morshu decided to steal their faces, and they couldn't have gone far. So, going to the closest spot on the map, we found Tori, my Pop Star, whose face has been stuck to a Magma Slime, but Vinny is traveling with me during this point, so with his help we easily defeated the slime and saved Tori, getting her back into the party!

Heading to the next closest spot, we found Gamma, a character of mine that I made into a Flower for the sake of trying out classes, with his face stuck to a cloud! Thankfully, with Tori back and with Vinny on our side, we had no issues defeating it and getting Gamma back. With our party now having 3 members and Vinny alongside us, we went off to save the Chef!

Finally, near the end of the first section of Karkaton, we found Jess, my Chef, who is one of my main 4 in my party, with her face stuck to a Burning Golem. It was a tough fight, but together we struck it down and saved her, finally letting us have a full party. With 6 more friends to save, we went inside the volcano to try and save more of our friends. And after we save the first 3 teammates, we're given the ability to finally change our jobs at will! Seizing the opportunity, I switched myself from the Tank job back to the Warrior job that I missed so much. Time for some fun!

During our trip inside the volcano, our party gets split up, so both pairs of 2 had to make their way through a few battles so we could regroup. Finally regrouped, we went further, only to find the Cerberus, and it has 3 of our friends on it! It claimed the faces of Kenny, my Cat; Skulatore, my Thief; and it claimed Emma, my Cleric! After a not-so-tough battle - Hyper Sprinkles are so broken - we saved all 3 of them, and we could finally leave the volcano. However, seeing as I had almost all my friends back, Vinny left the group, stating that with him around, I wouldn't learn as much as I should, and that he believes that we'll be perfectly fine since we're so strong. With Vinny heading his way, we decide to move on and enter the Dark Lord's Castle to save our last 3 friends and finally put an end to his madness!

As you'd expect, our party gets split up inside the castle. Before regrouping, one set of friends encounters a Demon, and it has the face of Zuwwy, my Imp, and one of my main 4 in my party! The Demon, however, easily falls to the power of Hyper Sprinkles, and we save her at last! Just two more to go!

The other group runs into Cammy, my Princess, with her face stuck to a portrait of the Dark Lord! IN a similar fashion to the previous boss, we easily destroy this painting and free Cammy, leaving us just one final friend to save, as our party fully regroups!

At long last, we finally find a living suit of armor with the face of Teresa, my Mage, and the very first teammate I had on this long quest, and the last member of my main 4! After a fierce battle with it, we save Teresa, and we now have everyone assembled. With my main 4 back together in the active battle party, we head in further. It's time to stop Morshu!

However, before we can face Morshu, we're stopped by his dragon! Sadly, though, the dragon is no match for all of our combined power, and easily falls to our might. However, after defeating it, the Dragon becomes docile and decides to take a little nap. Because it's no longer evil, we move on quickly, we have no time to lose!

At long last, we finally face Morshu. It's been a long road, and we've faced many hardships, but it's time to finally defeat him for good! And we have a fierce battle, finally defeating him, however....

A blue eyeball creature comes from Morshu, who has just been reverted to a normal form! Saving me from being possessed by the eyeball, Vinny, our Great Sage, becomes the Darker Lord! With the Great Sage's power under its command, the monster possessing Vinny escapes, and we have to give chase! It's at this moment that the dragon we defeated earlier, Dominic, offers to let us use him to fly around, allowing us to access the world map for the first time. New adventures await as we chase after the Darker Lord to save Vinny!

And that's all for Karkaton and the end of the first part of the game! On Friday, we'll continue looking through more, as tomorrow and Wednesday are reserved for Sonic Unleashed and the trophy guide. Thanks a bunch for continuing to follow me through the silly journey I've had in Miitopia, and we'll resume this journey in a few days!

Have a nice day!~

Miitopia Snapshots Part 3: Realm of the Fey

And now we're here in the 3rd area in the game, the Realm of the Fey, home to the elves. Again, be warned as we enter more spoiler territory for the story, as I'd hate for a lot of stuff to be spoiled for people who want to enjoy the game! With that said, let's get a move on!

Seems like Skeletor retired from his days of trying to defeat He-Man and decided to become an elf in the forest, only for him to be attacked by Dark Lord Morshu. He passed out after we spoke to him, but he only fell asleep.

Little known fact: Princess Peach is actually an elf, as confirmed by her being here in Miitopia as an elf, and I guess after being a huge crybaby, as seen in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Peach decided to join the elves, but is still a Scaredy-Cat, evidently.

The fact, alone, that Bane and Zoidberg are here make this even funnier to me. Each of these men are fans of one of the 3 Fab Fairies, which we'll be seeing shortly. Xellos is from another anime I have no idea about, but hey, bound to happen to everyone, right?

Funny, cause Nano's eyes are clearly black here. But the meaning is more along the lines of she's very jealous of the attention the Fab Fairies get and that nobody ever really pays attention to her.

I guess Tom Waits finally retired and decided to have a lazy retirement here, as he doesn't even want to scratch an itch, because it requires him to get up and move. We've all been there, Tom. It happens to all of us eventually.

Here's a fun little surprise, good ol' Makoto Nanaya from BlazBlue is here to be a mischievous witch and play a few silly pranks on us, all of which are harmless, but later she rewards us, much like everyone else who has a face to save.

As with all the important NPCs, I let it autoassign the Miis, but I let it scroll through choices. I picked Mandy (from Billy & Mandy) because of the mention of a bossy attitude, and I just felt like it fit perfectly.

Like I said, my game had quite a few bits of Undertale, but that's okay. In this fight, we have to save Alphys' face from this spider!

The mention of shyness and stuff made me pick Alphys, and honestly I wasn't too big on the other choices, which I'm currently blanking on.

As you'll notice, I'm now a Tank! Yes, upon reaching the Realm of the Fey, the Dark Lord takes your friends again and forces you to change to a new class. We unlocked Tank, Princess, and Flower, so I chose Tank, even though the role has many chances to hurt friends and start quarrels. This was a snapshot taken from the roaming Photographer, Pooh Bear.

Oh no, Fi's face has gone onto an owl!

I think Fi just fit the role perfectly, plus I liked Fi, unlike most of the Zelda lovers who really hate her, but hey, to each their own, yeah?

Of all the things Baby Peach's face could be stuck to, I think this is a pretty tame one. It could always be worse.

So the Fab Fairies Fans all got stuck on a single boss together, but that just means it's a 3-for-1 deal for us, and we easily took down this tomato tower to save these guys.

Makoto's face was placed on a slime, which gave us no trouble as we utterly demolished the beast without any problems.

Finally, Mandy's face was stolen and we had to get her face back! It landed on the belly of this fat frog, which somehow needs a face on its belly. I don't know, this game is weird, alright?

Another "great" moment captured by Pooh Bear, my team after the frog spewed bad breath on all of us. As you can see, I had a Princess, Cat, and Flower as my buddies this time.

And that's all for this area! Tomorrow we go further east, and we finally have our fateful encounter with Dark Lord Morshu! I'll see you tomorrow for more thrilling stuff, and bear in mind that tomorrow's pictures contain some massive spoilers, so definitely be warned!

Have a nice day!~
