So, I'm not sure how obscure this game is, but I know I only learned about it thanks to Sonic Gems Collection, where it and its sequel were playable titles, as they would later also be in Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. But nonetheless, this game is quick and lots of fun.
It sounds really nice and the graphics look pleasing and the animation is fluent. Levels are super detailed and I love looking at them as I shoot enemies, make them explode, and listen to their 16-bit cries of death (Wow that sounded a little morbid at the end). If you know the game well, it feels short, but it's still a lot of fun.
I like picking up different weapon types for different effects, like shots that bounce off the walls, or a spread-shot. It adds a bit of variety and can help with some of those tougher enemies. Some of the bosses are a bit tough, but that makes it more enjoyable because you know that the game won't be some easy cakewalk.
But that's really all there is to say about it, the game is a lot of fun and if you have a means to play it, definitely give it a shot, it's a lot of fun! As always thanks for reading!
