Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories Trophy Guide

Welcome to the trophy guide for Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. This is going to be a big one, full of grinding, so let's just get right to it!

Chain of Memories Master Obtain all trophies.
As always, collect every other trophy to obtain this. Good luck, this is a difficult one to get!

Proud Player Sora Clear Sora's story on Proud.
This game isn't too difficult on Proud, but always work on getting CP when you level up as it will allow you to have more cards and a better deck in the long run.

Proud Player Riku Clear Riku's story on Proud.
Since Riku's story is shorter and easier than Sora's due to him having pre-made decks in each world, this shouldn't give you too much trouble. Always be using Card Duels against bosses for extra damage, too! And when leveling up, always get AP when you're offered it.

Undefeated Clear the game without using a continue.
As it says, never use a continue. Battles aren't too difficult, and having at least 3-5 Cures in your deck will allow you to use a few Curagas to help heal you efficiently.

Natural Player Sora Clear Sora's story on Standard.
 See Proud Player Sora.

Natural Player Riku Clear Riku's story on Standard.
See Proud Player Riku.

Novice Player Sora Clear Sora's story on Beginner.
See Proud Player Sora.

Novice Player Riku Clear Riku's story on Beginner.
See Proud Player Riku.

Veggie Master Get a score of 150 points or higher in the Veggie Panic mini-game.
Not too hard, just remember what button hits what veggie. The trick is to watch for the big vegetable after each string of veggies, as that means you've hit about 50 veggies.

Ace Pilot Get a score of 500 points or higher in the Balloon Glider mini-game.
There is no "higher," this means you need to collect every orb and make it to the very top of the tree. Not too bad, but sometimes it's hard to see the bees. Just keep it steady and don't move too fast!

High Jumper Get a score of 120 points or higher in Tigger's Jump-a-Thon mini-game.
Yes, 120 points worth of memory. There's no easy way around this, but what I did was I wrote down the original sequence, and added to it every time. There's no time limit, so just take your time and hit the buttons and make sure you get it right. His original buttons never change, so just write it all down and you'll get this in no time.

Sky Diver Get a score of 2,000 points or higher in the Whirlwind Plunge mini-game.
This may take a few tries, but you'll eventually get the timing down on watching out for obstacles and getting the most points you can manage.

Bee Buster Clear all 70 bees within 1:40 in the Bumble-Buster mini-game.
Note: This has to be done AFTER the original mini-game when you help Eeyore, as there will only be 50 bees in that round. This will take some doing, but using the Honey Storm (Wind + Honey) sleight will make this way easier, as the sleight easily takes out 10 bees with each use. And if you use an attack card beforehand, you don't need to worry about reloading, as your Wind and Honey cards will reload all the time.

If Pooh's health gets low, use the Honey Pot (Honey + Honey) sleight to restore a lot of HP!

A Slumber to Remember Clear Sora's story mode.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Sleight Master Obtain all of Sora's sleights.
You must do the following: Reach level 57, minimum; Reach Floor 13; Clear each mini-game in the 100 Acre Wood and talk to Piglet when you're at Pooh's House; Receive a Calm Bounty once in every world; and use a Room of Rewards in most worlds. This will all come in time, especially during your 100% run.

Card of Memories Clear Castle Oblivion 1F.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Woven Memories Clear Castle Oblivion 5F.
Story-related, can't be missed.

The Truth Clear Castle Oblivion 13F.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Road to Dawn Clear Riku's story mode.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Hard Hitter Obtain all attack bonuses for Riku.
Riku can increase AP once every 5 levels, so the earliest you can get this is about level 59. It takes a while but you'll get there!

Confronting the Darkness Clear Castle Oblivion B12F.
Story-related, cant be missed.

Challenge from the Inner Darkness Clear Castle Oblivion B8F.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Overcoming the Darkness Clear Castle Oblivion B1F.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Record Keeper Sora Collect all Jiminy's Journal entries.
Refer to the other journal entry trophies below, as once you complete all of them, this will pop.

Card Master Sora Collect all Card Collection entries in Jiminy's Journal.
This is arguably the hardest trophy to obtain, based on your luck. To obtain most cards, you have an increased chance of collecting enemy cards in a Teeming Darkness, Almighty Darkness, or Looming Darkness room. However, the card only drops from the LAST Heartless killed. So if you want a Shadow enemy card, you have to be sure that a Shadow is the last enemy you defeat to have a chance at it.

For Black Fungi/White Mushrooms, it's all down to luck, as they're only found in their Black/White Room, respectively, and the only surefire way to kill White Mushrooms is to use Warp on them to eliminate them from battle, hoping they drop the card.

Finally, there are cards for the other members of Organization XIII as Room of Rewards bonuses from completing 358/2 Days in the collection, so do that first!

This is a very grindy trophy, and you're better off doing it during your 100% run.

Storyteller Sora Collect all Story entries in Jiminy's Journal.
Story-related, can't be missed.

Character Professor Sora Collect all Character entries in Jiminy's Journal.
Characters also refers to Heartless, so you must defeat one of every Heartless as well, as Characters will be filled out naturally through the story.

Mini-game Maniac Sora Collect all Mini-game entries in Jiminy's Journal.
Monstro's Belly Brawl cannot be missed, and simply play all of the 100 Acre Wood mini-games. Easy and out of the way.

Record Keeper Riku Collect all D Report entries.
Although very similar to Sora's trophy, Riku's is much easier due to how much less grinding he has to do in the long run.

Card Master Riku Collect all Card Collection entries in D Report.
Provided that you obtained a Random Joker card at some point through battle, it's impossible to miss this, as Riku's deck is pre-made in each world, including enemy cards, so it is not possible to miss this once you've gotten the Random Joker (And Gimmick Card, but you're very likely to get that at some point).

Storyteller Riku Collect all Story entries in the D Report.
Story related, can't be missed.

Character Professor Riku Collect all Character entries in the D Report.
Luckily, Riku doesn't encounter Black Fungi or White Mushrooms in his story, so, again, just fight every Heartless you can just to make sure you've got everything done.

Novice Deck Builder Edit a card deck for the first time.
Impossible to miss, as you WILL be editing your deck pretty often in the story.

Expert Deck Builder Edit a card deck 500 times.
Yes, 500 times. Simply put, wait until later, so you can get a lot of cards in a single deck, then put one card in, leave the deck menu, go back in and repeat as each card will count as editing a deck. However, you cannot simply put a bunch of cards in there as it will only count as 1 edit. It's tedious, but it'll happen eventually. Make sure you're in a world with nice music, or play some music of your own to make this a little bit less boring.

Premium Card Maker Make 20 cards become Premium Cards.
Defeating White Mushrooms guarantees a Premium Bonus, and Premium Rooms will make Premium Bonuses happen more often. There's no simple way around it, you have to get them yourself. And no, Premium Cards that are obtained from Moogle Shops do NOT count towards your total, they have to be cards that you're converting to Premium.

No Escape Clear the game without fleeing from a single battle.
Again, this game isn't as hard as it seems, and refusing to flee is a pretty easy thing to do. You're going to want all of that experience to be stronger, anyway, so you might as well fight all you can.

Level Master Sora Max out Sora's level.
I'll be blunt, hitting level 99 with Sora and Riku is difficult, as the only great place to grind is Castle Oblivion. With Sora, you can use Mega Flare and Trinity Limit (Trinity Limit for enemies who resist Fire) to speed up battles, as Mega Flare will pretty much be an instant kill. Mega Flare is Sora's final level-up sleight, and requires Mushu + Fire + Fire to use. Mushu is a prize in Hollow Bastion's Room of Rewards, so have one of those Key to Rewards cards handy!

Level Master Riku Max out Riku's level.
Riku has a tough time hitting level 99, due to the fact that his only really viable option is Dark Mode, and then using the Lexaeus card to make his finishers have a high chance is instantly killing enemies. However, while I grinded in Castle Oblivion, I noticed that Teeming Darkness rooms gave me over 40,000 exp after I cleared the room, which is enough for 2 whole levels even in the 70's, so if you can make a Roulette Room to nab some of those cards, definitely grab what you can, it'll be worth it to level up a little faster!

Card Breaker Break an enemy's cards 1,500 times.
Might seem daunting, but 1,500 happens a lot sooner than you think it does, even if you want to purposely grind it out.

Tightrope Walker Replenish HP when you have less than 5% HP.
Do this the moment you obtain a Cure card, as when your HP is still small, it's easier to hit 5% without being in extreme danger of dying.

Interceptor Strike an enemy before entering battle 150 times.
You'll naturally get this if you battle every enemy in every room you go into and hit them. Otherwise, you can grind this out when you're working on 100%.

Duel Master Win 100 duels.
You'll be dueling a lot as Riku, so 100 duels isn't too hard to manage. Grind them out as much as you can so you can easily reach 100. It sounds daunting but it's really not.

Battle Card Collector Obtain over 300 battle cards.
If you don't have this before getting Regular Customer, then you will get this during that process.

Moogle Mogul Get over 10,000 Moogle Points.
It has to be all at once, it's not cumulative, so your best bet is grinding in Agrabah and getting the Aladdin card, as he makes enemies drop a LOT of Moogle Points. If all else fails, and you don't have many left, save first, then make a Moogle Room and sell all of your cards to get to 10,000, then reload your save.

Regular Customer Use over 20,000 Moogle Points at Moogle Shops.
I did a test to see just how many points I'd get by selling my cards, then continues grinding until I got to a better number. Once I reached between 14,000 - 16,000 points, I saved, then sold all of my cards, then bought every new pack I could grab. Then I made a new Moogle Room and repeated the process until I finally got this done. It took 5 Moogle Rooms in a row, so it doesn't take a super amount, but you need to go to Castle Oblivion to get the most expensive card packs possible.

Room Creator Synthesize 300 rooms.
Another huge number that doesn't keep track. I'm not sure if this carries over to Riku, so to be safe I just used Sora for this. One way to do this is to burn through 99 map cards, then grind them all back little by little, so that you know you've used at least 99/300 cards. This is tedious, but you will eventually obtain this through effort.

Treasure Hunter Open 10 chests from hidden rooms.
Make sure you completed 358/2 Days before playing this game, as each "Room of Rewards" will have 2 prizes instead of one, which means you only need 5 rooms to get this trophy!

Ace Striker Hit an enemy with an object.
This can be done in any world, but you can easily get this during Sora's tutorial when you get a free chance to throw a box at a Heartless.

And that's it for this trophy guide. This is probably the most stressful platinum I've obtained thus far, and the game is such a huge grind. It's more of a grind for Sora than it is for Riku, but still, it's ridiculous. Either way, I hope this helps you get closer to that platinum and I will see you all again soon.

*This game took me 11 months and 1 day to platinum, from the first trophy to the platinum, including a long hiatus in between the trophies. My first trophy was "Ace Striker" which was achieved on April 11th, 2016 at 1:05 PM. My final trophy was "Level Master Riku" which was achieved on March 13th, 2017 at 12:51 AM, along with the platinum, "Chain of Memories Master." This platinum trophy is the 50th platinum trophy I have received.*

Have a nice day!~

    1. Don't give up, I'm sure you can do it! :) Proud Mode isn't too bad as long as you're prepared for it. As for doing no continues, you can just reload a save file if you die, which doesn't count as using a Continue. Just be sure you have some Moment's Reprieve cards handy. Either way, it's 3 playthroughs with each character, so the platinum will take some work. But hey, if I can do it, I'm sure you can! :) Either way, good luck, and I hope you enjoy FFXIV, whenever I get money I'm going to try and return to it!
