The Funny Irony of the Shiny Charm

So, everyone who's played Pokémon since generation 2 knows what a shiny Pokémon is. For those who don't, it's essentially a Pokémon with different coloring, like a golden Magikarp, or a black Charizard. They are very rare, with the original odds being a 1/8192 chance of encountering a shiny Pokémon in any form, that's pretty low odds! As of Sun and Moon, the default odds are 1/4000. Still low odds, but it's essentially double the original odds. In gen 5, for completing the monstrous task of filling in the National Pokedex by obtaining EVERY POKEMON, save for event Pokémon such as Mew and Celebi, you were awarded the Shiny Charm, which triples the odds of encountering shiny Pokémon in any way, be it breeding or not. And this charm was brought to gen 6 under the same conditions, and in Sun and Moon, you only have to obtain all 300 Pokémon in the regional Pokedex, which isn't as hard as it might sound.

After looking up a few details, using the famous Masuda Method of breeding (in which you breed two compatible Pokémon, but one has to be from a foreign region, such as Japan, like a Japanese Ditto, and the odds of a shiny go up) with the Shiny Charm in Sun and Moon gives you a whopping 1/455 chance of hatching a shiny Pokémon! That's insane! But I hear you asking me, where's this irony? Well, here it is:

Despite always hatching Pokémon as my way of getting a shiny (it's just easier for me, honestly), I have, so far, ran into 3 shiny Pokémon in the wild in Sun. And these are all within a week, in total, with the 2nd and 3rd ones being found the day after each other! But the irony is that, while it's awesome to find them, it's not ones I'd normally want.

For example, the first was Tentacool, which turns a pale indigo color with green jelly instead of red. This one isn't bad, and I think it's a nice shiny for Tentacool and Tentacruel. The second one was Hypno, which goes from this dandelion-yellow color, to being bubblegum-pink! I'm not saying it's bad to have a pink shiny, not at all, but I just think it's so silly and funny, it's like it blew a huge bubble, cartoon style, and it popped all over its body! And finally, the 3rdone was Golduck, which turns it a darker shade of blue, and turns its beak and part of the webbed part of its hands and feet a sunburnt-red color. It's like Golduck got a bad sunburn while trying to get a nice tan to impress the local Milotic (That was such a terrible joke, I apologize greatly for it)! But all the same, still kind of funny that I found 3 so easily. Now if I could just find a shiny Dewpider or Dhelmise so easily...
